Accordingly, through working with departments, offices, units and localities, Mr. Dang Quang Tu - Chairman of Da Lat City People's Committee assessed that the work of receiving citizens in the past time in the area has been seriously implemented, the composition of the Citizen Reception Council is ensured to comply with the provisions of law.
Heads of units have paid attention to seriously and effectively handling petitions, resolving complaints, denunciations, recommendations and reflections in accordance with the provisions of law. A number of complicated and prolonged complaints and denunciations have been resolved, preventing them from becoming hot spots for complaints and lawsuits in the city.
However, the heads of some departments, offices, units and localities have not paid due attention to the work of receiving citizens, handling petitions and letters, and implementing the instructions of the City People's Committee through the work of receiving citizens and handling petitions and letters; the implementation of directives and assignment documents is still slow, leading to the situation where citizens continue to send petitions to the Provincial Party Committee, the Provincial People's Committee, the City Party Committee or to the People's Reception Council to reflect.
In order to enhance the responsibility of heads of departments, offices, units, People's Committees of wards and communes in receiving citizens; strictly implementing the provisions of the Law on Reception of Citizens, the Chairman of the People's Committee of Da Lat City requires Heads of units to directly participate in citizen reception sessions of the City Party Committee, People's Council and People's Committee.
In addition, it is necessary to proactively review and resolve according to authority or advise the City People's Committee to completely resolve complaints, denunciations, recommendations, reflections, directives, and work assignments that are still pending in April 2025 in accordance with the provisions of law, put an end to the situation of overdue petitions, especially cases that the City People's Committee has issued directives, and not allow complicated, prolonged, and over-level petitions and denunciations to arise but are not handled or resolved completely.
In particular, the leader of the People's Committee of Da Lat City emphasized that departments, offices, units, and localities under their authority need to focus on dialogue, mobilization, and persuasion of citizens to thoroughly resolve and remove complaints and grievances of the people, focus on handling and directing the correct resolution of content as well as correcting and overcoming some shortcomings in the work of receiving citizens and handling work.
If any agency, unit or locality is not interested in citizen reception work, leading to a situation where they do not receive citizens, do not resolve citizens' complaints and denunciations according to their authority, or are slow to report and propose to the City People's Committee for resolution, allowing citizens to file complaints at higher levels, the head must be responsible to the Chairman of the City People's Committee.
