Activities within the framework of the "Supporting Workers" 2025 program officially launched on March 7. Volunteer teams also began to appear at bus stations at the gateways to Ho Chi Minh City to support workers from many places coming to Ho Chi Minh City to find jobs.
Prepare students for recruitment
At the festival, the workshop "Job opportunities for students" shared information and prepared students about to graduate to enter the labor market through the sharing of employers and labor and employment experts.
Mr. Tran Anh Tuan - Vice President of the Ho Chi Minh City Vocational Education Association - said that recently there has been a lot of unfavorable information affecting the psychology of working people, especially young people on the threshold of their careers. The world situation is still unstable, there is a trade war, while many businesses are closing down, returning premises... Not to mention a workforce that no longer has jobs after the process of streamlining and restructuring the apparatus.
However, according to Mr. Tuan, it must be accepted that unemployment always occurs everywhere, and Vietnam is no exception, but it is currently at a low level compared to many countries. "But looking more broadly, employment is changing, opening new doors for workers," Mr. Tuan analyzed.
Evidence from this year's program shows that many manufacturing, logistics, and overseas internship companies still need to recruit thousands of workers, with some companies even recruiting without limit.
"The employment structure is changing, opening up many new opportunities and new fields, but it requires young workers to change in order to find suitable jobs," said Mr. Tuan.
The current context requires young people to equip themselves with knowledge and skills to work in a multinational environment. In addition to knowledge from school, each worker must practice skills, such as listening skills, working under pressure, updating new technology skills to grasp and adapt to the demands of the job.
Opportunities await candidates
Mr. Nguyen Phuong Tai Loc - Head of Human Resources Department of CP Vietnam Livestock Joint Stock Company - informed that there is a need to recruit about 1,200 - 1,400 employees nationwide to meet the needs of 30 factories and 2,500 existing farms.
Among these, many positions are needed for engineers in agriculture, food, information technology... Masan Group is also recruiting hundreds of positions for six factories from the South to the North.
Many companies recruiting workers to work abroad have come to the festival to "recruit" interns. Ms. Tran Ngoc Thuy Diem - Head of Recruitment Department of New Life Investment Joint Stock Company (Thu Duc City) - said that the unit is recruiting an unlimited number of interns to work in the US and Europe.
"The demand for labor recruitment is very high with salaries ranging from 20,000 - 50,000 USD/year. The qualifications are also very diverse from intermediate to university with the general requirement of completing 50% of the study program or more. Young people who intend to work abroad can contact us early for advice on the roadmap and preparation of documents," said Ms. Diem.
"Whenever you need advice, information about jobs, industries, laws related to workers' rights and obligations, or additional career skills, workers can directly contact the YES Center's job consulting and referral offices or the sieuthivieclam website and app platforms for support," said YES Center deputy director Nguyen Van Sang.
Online Recruitment
In addition to businesses directly participating in the festival, YES Center also connects about 50 businesses to recruit online on the YES Center website and sieuthivieclam app.
Statistics show that there are about 10,000 job opportunities for workers in many fields and professions during this period.
