The election of village, hamlet and neighborhood chiefs for the 2025-2027 term will be held simultaneously on December 15 with the participation of more than 315,200 voters in 1,452 villages, hamlets and neighborhoods across the province . This is a broad democratic activity among all classes of people, to select and elect outstanding representatives in residential areas. Up to this point, all preparations for the election in Quang Ninh have been completed, voters and people are ready and excited to welcome the great festival in the locality.
Election preparations in villages and neighborhoods in Uong Bi City were carried out urgently, seriously and closely. All work was completed and preparations were made so that the national election day would truly become a great, exciting and joyful festival.
Head of the City Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Commission, Chairman of the Uong Bi City Fatherland Front Committee Dao Ngoc Son said: Voters and people of Uong Bi City highly appreciate and trust the candidates nominated to run for village and neighborhood chiefs for the 2025-2027 term. 23/99 villages and neighborhoods in the city introduced new candidates, including very young candidates, some of whom are party members only 22 years old, but are highly trusted and trusted by the people. From now until the election, the city's Fatherland Front will continue to promote and launch emulation campaigns for 100% of cadres, union members, and association members to be exemplary in participating in voting and mobilizing voters and people to vote at the highest rate, contributing to the overall success of the election. We believe that 100% of the polling stations will be completed early and ensure compliance with regulations, efficiency, and selection of the most outstanding candidates.
In localities throughout the province, along main roads or in residential areas, flags and flowers are brightly decorated, the atmosphere of preparation for the national festival is bustling. The closer the election day is, the more eager voters are to hold ballots in their hands to choose people with political qualities, abilities, worthy of representing the thoughts and aspirations of the people to elect village, hamlet and neighborhood chiefs.
Ms. Dinh Thi Yen (Dam Buon village, Dam Ha commune, Dam Ha district) shared: Although the nature of my family's work requires me to go to sea for many days, through propaganda from village officials, I and other fishermen have grasped information about the election day. With the responsibility of a voter, we will arrange our time to come to the election on time according to regulations. We also hope that the elected village chief for the 2025-2027 term will promote his role and responsibility well, be worthy of the people's trust, and build the village and commune to develop even more.
Up to now, the whole province has 1,521 candidates for village, hamlet and neighborhood chief. Of these, 1,193 are re-elected and 328 are new. 1,383/1,452 villages, hamlets and neighborhoods have nominated 1 candidate; 69 villages, hamlets and neighborhoods have nominated 2 candidates (mainly in Binh Lieu, Ha Long, Ban Che and Cam Pha). The quality of the candidates for village, hamlet and neighborhood chief has been improved. Among the candidates for village, hamlet and neighborhood chief for the new term, 349 have university degrees or higher, 418 have intermediate political theory degrees or higher. Localities have selected and agreed on the election form, of which 428 villages, hamlets and neighborhoods have chosen to vote by show of hands, and 1,024 villages, hamlets and neighborhoods have chosen to vote by secret ballot.
Deputy Director of the Department of Home Affairs Hoang Ba Huong said: Up to this point, basically the contents of the election work, from deciding to organize the election, establishing the election team, the list of candidates, choosing the election form, to making and posting the voter list have all been implemented by localities early before the time prescribed by the Law on Democracy Implementation at the Grassroots Level and Decree No. 59/2023/ND-CP of the Government. Many localities have completed the decoration and celebration of the areas inside and outside the election site early to create a jubilant atmosphere before the election day, prepare ballot boxes, arrange signs, and election entrance and exit areas, typically: Mong Cai, Tien Yen, Hai Ha, Dong Trieu... Currently, localities are continuing to promote propaganda, regularly grasp the election situation in the localities, report and promptly resolve arising situations according to their authority, so that the organization of the election day in the whole province is successful, in accordance with the law. The whole province is ready for the election of village, hamlet and neighborhood chiefs on December 15.
