Circus industry joins hands to realize cultural industry

(Fatherland) - On the occasion of the 69th anniversary of its founding, the Vietnam Circus Federation welcomed generations of officials, artists and delegates at the newly completed stage, located right next to the Central Circus, 67 - 69 Tran Nhan Tong, Hanoi.

Present on the traditional day (January 16), generations of artists and officials of the Vietnam Circus Federation were extremely excited to witness the opening of a new stage for the circus industry, the Performing Arts Center, which was built spaciously and modernly, meeting the standards of a multi-purpose art theater.

Director of the Vietnam Circus Federation, People's Artist Tong Toan Thang said: "The new stage of the Vietnam Circus Federation is called the Performing Arts Center with a capacity of 300 guests. We can proudly say that this is the only stage in the capital designed to accommodate all types of art performances. The center will not only be a circus performance venue but also a place to create individual and joint art products, first of all, for theaters under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism. We will work together to create new and attractive art products to serve many audiences. Together, we will create trust for the audience in a performing venue serving quality and attractive art."

Square stage - Performing arts center of Vietnam Circus Federation has a capacity of 300 seats, qualified to perform many types of art.

The Central Circus with a capacity of 1,300 seats, located in the prime location of Hanoi center, is the leading performing arts venue in Vietnam. The circus has gone through more than 69 years of formation and development, with many historical milestones imbued with the time of the Vietnamese circus industry. "The Central Circus is designed with a round stage and aims to serve the mass audience, with reasonable ticket prices. At the square stage of the new Performing Arts Center, the Vietnam Circus Federation aims to serve the audience segment with a smaller number and especially serve the needs of watching and enjoying art of domestic and foreign tourists, elderly audiences, audiences who are families... We will invest in programs and works of art suitable to the tastes of audiences in this segment. Of course, in the competitive era of the performance market, ticket prices will also have to be attractive in addition to the quality of art", People's Artist Tong Toan Thang shared.

In addition to the 140 m2 square stage, the Performing Arts Center will have a parking area for cars to serve tours that bring audiences to watch, the first floor will be a place to serve food and beverage services such as selling coffee, water, food... The second floor is a traditional room to help audiences have an overview of the history of the circus industry, of the Vietnam Circus Federation... The Performing Arts Center is also a place for artists and circus officials to come to interact, share, exchange and discuss issues of the circus industry.

The Federation will cooperate with many theaters and performance organizers. There may be shows where the auditorium of the Performing Arts Center will create a 3D Mapping art space.

The Vietnam Circus Federation will also invite businesses to join in building art products to serve combo ticket sales for 1 day or 1 cultural and artistic experience session. For example, a show about the Central Highlands or Hanoi, local businesses will join in so that the audience can not only enjoy the art but also enter the cultural spaces of the region that the work mentions, enjoy the dishes or buy unique cultural products and agricultural products to bring home.

There are many plans to launch the Center that the Board of Directors of the Vietnam Circus Federation is planning, such as restarting the Ionah show at 87 Lang Ha before, the Weekend in Italy show with the participation of symphony, chamber music and circus... "There will not only be shows with the circus's own brand but can be called art products with the joint participation of many art forms such as: Symphony, Opera, dance... of course there is circus... Joy and happiness spread across the faces of many generations of leaders, officials and artists attending the 69th Anniversary of the Vietnam Circus Federation when witnessing the development of the Vietnam Circus Federation in particular and the circus industry in general. Chairman of the Vietnam Circus Association, former Director of the Vietnam Circus Federation, People's Artist Tam Chinh tearfully said: We are very grateful to the Board of Directors of the Vietnam Circus Federation for doing groundbreaking work for the circus industry. They have done much better than our generation. Admiring the solemn traditional room recording many memorable marks of the circus industry and the Vietnam Circus Federation, we could not help but be moved. The circus industry is proud to have the largest round circus in Southeast Asia, now it has a square stage to meet new creative explorations towards the trend of industrialization and modernization of art. I am 80 years old this year, I just hope to have good health so that next year I can join in the joy of attending the 70th Anniversary of the Vietnam Circus Federation, where I and many generations of artists have been closely attached to each other like flesh and blood."

There are many bold ideas that the board of directors of the Vietnam Circus Federation is planning. Accordingly, the Federation will cooperate with many theaters and many performance organizers. There may be shows where the auditorium of the Performing Arts Center will create a 3D Mapping art space, where the audience can feel like they are in the forest with the roars of tigers and leopards, the chirping of birds right next to them, or the murmuring sound of ocean waves...

According to People's Artist Tong Toan Thang, these are high-end shows and will be performed at the request of the audience at the Performing Arts Center. Together with supporting products, hopefully, the new stage will attract circus audiences of more audiences and ages.
