Fabric colors tell stories
Artist Tran Thanh Thuc and guests attending the exhibition "Listening to fabric tell stories".
The exhibition introduces to viewers 75 fabric cut paintings, with different sizes and themes. In particular, for the first time, artist Tran Thanh Thuc displays large-sized works (200cm x 90cm), demonstrating that art is not only about creativity, but also requires patience and talent.
Artist Tran Thanh Thuc does not use traditional brushes or colors. Her works are created from pre-printed pieces of fabric, through delicate collage techniques. The artist transforms lifeless pieces of fabric into vivid paintings, full of emotion and meaning.
Each work contains a story, a private memory. Viewers will have the opportunity to explore the regions of Vietnam, from the misty Northwest, the Central region with its golden rice fields, to the gentle rivers in the South. Artist Tran Thanh Thuc devoted much effort to recording memorable moments in her artistic journey.
The exhibition also evokes memories of childhood with familiar images such as flower trellises, wells, or small alleys... All appear through delicately cut pieces of fabric. Distant memories suddenly become close, touching the hearts of viewers with simplicity and depth.
