Da Lat honors people with revolutionary contributions on the 50th anniversary of the city's Liberation Day

Speaking at the ceremony, Secretary of the Da Lat City Party Committee Dang Duc Hiep said that this was an opportunity to rekindle and review the glorious and heroic history of the army and people of Da Lat City during the struggle and construction, demonstrating the morality of "When drinking water, remember its source". He also expressed his deep gratitude to the revolutionary elders, heroic martyrs and all compatriots who have devoted and sacrificed for the cause of revolutionary struggle and national construction.

Secretary of the Da Lat City Party Committee Dang Duc Hiep emphasized that the ceremony was also an opportunity to remember the great contributions of the great President Ho Chi Minh , the Party's genius leader, who led the Vietnamese revolution to many glorious victories. He affirmed the determination of the Party Committee and the people of the city to follow the path chosen by the Party and Uncle Ho.

The ceremony is an occasion to honor families with revolutionary contributions and to express gratitude to former leaders, cadres and soldiers who have made many contributions to the revolutionary cause.

In the context of the resistance war against the US to save the country, Da Lat fought steadfastly under the leadership of Uncle Ho and the Party Central Committee, making an important contribution to the cause of liberating the South. The victories of the revolutionary movement in Da Lat helped to strengthen patriotism and pride, especially during the General Offensive and Uprising in the Spring of Mau Than 1968.

On April 3, 1975, Da Lat was completely liberated, marking an important turning point in the history of the city's development. This victory is a testament to the indomitable will and patriotism of the army and people of Da Lat - Tuyen Duc. The State has recognized the great contributions of the people and soldiers with many noble titles.

Celebrating the 50th anniversary of the liberation of Da Lat, the delegates attending the ceremony looked back on the difficult years and appreciated the achievements. The City Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Da Lat City have constantly remembered the contributions of Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, Heroes of the Armed Forces, and families who have contributed to the revolution.

During these days, Da Lat City has also organized many practical activities to arouse pride andeducate patriotic traditions for the younger generations, identifying their responsibilities towards previous generations.

Chairman of Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee Tran Hong Thai presented commemorative medals and flowers "For the cause of construction and development of Lam Dong province" to outstanding individuals.

Today, Da Lat is not only a famous tourist center but also a place where culture, art, sports converge and is in the process of building a smart city. The achievements are thanks to the spirit of solidarity and the constant efforts of all the people of the city.

In the coming time, the Party Committee and the city government will be determined to implement the policies of the Central Party Committee and Lam Dong Provincial Party Committee, improve leadership capacity, promote the strength of national solidarity, and aim to build Da Lat into a smart city and a world heritage city.

On this occasion, Da Lat City awarded the Medal "For the cause of building and developing Lam Dong" to 50 individuals with outstanding achievements, and affirmed the commitment of the city's leaders in continuing to care for the lives of families with revolutionary contributions, building Da Lat to become increasingly rich, civilized and sustainably developed.
