To achieve the "dual goal" of both completing the budget revenue estimate and promoting modernization and providing electronic tax services to serve people and businesses, the tax sector has made efforts to promote digital transformation.
With the motto of "taking taxpayers as the center of service", the tax sector always strives to develop IT applications to serve taxpayers' tax declaration and payment as well as applications to serve tax management, ensuring the most favorable conditions for people and businesses, meeting the needs of digitalization and digital transformation of the financial sector, towards national digital transformation.
The representative of the General Department of Taxation said that recently, the industry has focused on promoting digital transformation such as applying big data analysis and artificial intelligence (AI) to serve tax management and invoice management, contributing to controlling and quickly detecting taxpayers committing invoice fraud.
At the same time, the tax sector also strongly deployed the construction of digital map data for business households nationwide; promoted digital transformation in state management of e-commerce activities, business activities on digital platforms, cross-border business; completed the construction of databases to serve the implementation of taxpayer support programs; researched and implemented automatic information provision (artificial intelligence - AI, chatbot)...
Continuing to implement the Prime Minister's National Digital Transformation Program, which has a basic goal by 2025 of "80% of level 4 online public services, provided on various access devices, including mobile devices", the General Department of Taxation has been focusing on implementing digital transformation solutions.
A series of solutions have been deployed by the tax sector, such as: operating the electronic invoice system nationwide; deploying the eTax-Mobile electronic tax service application on mobile devices; deploying the Electronic Information Portal for foreign suppliers; building and deploying the Electronic Information Portal for individuals doing e-commerce business; connecting and sharing data with ministries and branches to deploy online public services and integrating with the National Public Service Portal.
To date, the General Department of Taxation has deployed 235 online public services, of which 122 online public services are integrated into the National Public Service Portal; 100% of level 3 and 4 online public services are connected and shared with the National Public Service Portal...
Thanks to that, the development of information technology applications and digital transformation of the tax sector is considered to be at the forefront, bringing many benefits to the business community and society.
In the coming time, the tax sector will continue to promote the review, reduction and simplification of administrative procedures; enhance the modernization and digitalization of tax management to complete the digital transformation goal.
