On June 25, the Russian Defense Ministry said its forces had repelled more than 20 attacks by Ukraine in the past 24 hours.
Among them, the city of Bakhmut in Donetsk witnessed the fiercest clashes, with more than 10 attacks repelled, followed by four other counter-attacks in the areas of the self-proclaimed Lugansk People's Republic (LPR) and the self-proclaimed Donetsk People's Republic (DPR).
The Russian Defense Ministry also said that the country's military destroyed a large ammunition depot near the city of Avdiivka in the DPR region.
In the south, moderate fighting continued, with Russian forces repelling three attacks, while shelling several points near Orekhov, the VSU's main logistics center in Zaporizhzhia.
According to Russian statistics, the Armed Forces of Ukraine (VSU) suffered heavy losses in this attack, losing 800 people, with many equipment and weapons destroyed.
* Speaking on television on June 25, Russian President Vladimir Putin said that he is in regular contact with the Ministry of Defense. At the same time, the head of Moscow still believes in the realization of plans related to the "special military operation" in Ukraine.
Earlier the same day, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov also affirmed: “(Developments regarding Wagner forces) have no impact at all. The 'special military operation' will continue. Our soldiers on the ground have shown courage. They are dealing with the VSU counterattack very effectively.”
* In related news, on June 25, the Israeli Foreign Ministry said it would summon Ukrainian Ambassador Yevgen Kornichuk after the diplomat issued a statement criticizing the Jewish State's policy toward the conflict in Ukraine as "disregarding moral boundaries."
Earlier, writing on Facebook , the Ukrainian Embassy in Tel Aviv posted a statement strongly opposing Israel's policy on the conflict in Ukraine. The statement affirmed: "Israel did not provide any humanitarian aid to Ukraine in the first half of 2023 and the visit of Israeli Foreign Minister Eli Cohen to Kiev in February 2023 'did not produce any results'".
The post also criticized Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's interview with the Jerusalem Post (Israel) last week, specifically: "All relevant statements by Prime Minister Netanyahu have always been aimed at justifying Israel's complete failure to provide defense aid to Kiev over the past 1.5 years."
The statement also criticized Israel for ceding a plot of land to Russia to build an office in Jerusalem, Israeli officials attending a reception hosted by the Russian Embassy and increasing trade with Russia, instead of punishing it as the West is doing. According to Kiev, Israel's actions showed an attitude of "disregard for moral boundaries".
