According to initial reports, he said there were no casualties in the attack. However, TASS news agency quoted emergency services as saying that four Il-76 transport planes, the mainstay of the Russian military, were damaged at the military airport.
“As a result of the drone attack, four Il-76 aircraft were damaged. A fire broke out and two aircraft caught fire,” the statement said.
Video footage of the incident on Russian media showed thick black smoke rising above the airport, adding that locals heard explosions and gunfire.
Reports on Telegram channels said Russian air defense systems were activated around the Pskov Region, located near the Latvian and Estonian borders.

“At around midnight Moscow time, an aircraft of the Black Sea Fleet naval aviation destroyed four military speedboats carrying assault groups of Ukrainian special operations forces totaling 50 people in the Black Sea,” the ministry said.
