Sharing in the discussion session with the theme "Sustainable Food and Agriculture", Mr. Binu Jacob, General Director of Nestlé Vietnam, said that the NESCAFÉ Plan is a global initiative of Nestlé Group to bring sustainable values to coffee farmers, to the community and to the planet. In more than 13 years of implementation in Vietnam, the program has achieved many positive results thanks to promoting multi-stakeholder cooperation and always considering farmers as the center. With efforts to guide farmers to switch to regenerative agricultural farming methods, the program not only helps improve the livelihoods of coffee farming communities but also helps create positive impacts on the environment and protect biodiversity. Also within the framework of the exhibition, Nestlé Vietnam also presented joint efforts to enhance the position and value of Vietnamese coffee beans. Over the past three decades, Nestlé Tri An factory, one of the most modern factories of Nestlé Group, has gradually become the place to process the Group's coffee products. Among them are many brands that are familiar to Vietnamese consumers and many brands have been exported to 30 countries around the world, including markets with high and strict standards such as the US, Europe, Korea, Japan, etc. At GEFE 2024, visitors will also have the opportunity to visit the NESCAFÉ Plan farm as well as the Nestlé Tri An factory through VR 360 virtual reality technology to witness firsthand sustainable coffee farming activities as well as the process from coffee beans to high-value products, favored by domestic and foreign consumers.
