In recent times, many trade and service cooperatives in the province have actively implemented solutions to improve operational efficiency. In particular, cooperatives have proactively developed more members, mobilized capital as well as invested in improving their own production and business capacity... to meet the production needs of the people.

Established in 2002 with 5 members, Chung Nghia General Production and Trade Service Cooperative (Ha Trung town, Ha Trung district) has attracted and created jobs for 16 members and 50 other contract workers. The cooperative mainly produces and trades animal feed, mixed farm animal husbandry; grows fruit trees and seedlings of all kinds; trades veterinary medicine, gasoline, liquefied gas, construction materials... with a revenue of over 50 billion VND/year.
To develop as it is today, the Cooperative has always studied and grasped market trends to change its industries, production and business fields in accordance with actual conditions. Currently, the Cooperative is gradually improving its operational efficiency by improving technology, production lines, investing in infrastructure and expanding its scale. Typically, it rents 12,000m2 of land to build a farm and commercial cluster; builds 2,000m2 of counters selling essential consumer goods to serve people in the area and neighboring areas; builds and puts gas stations into operation to create more jobs and increase income for members of the Cooperative... The Cooperative's shops and stores are invested in a spacious manner, and the livestock farm is also invested in a closed form; some production stages are automated, ensuring enough competitiveness with other businesses in the area. From that investment, the working conditions of members in the cooperative are also improved day by day, the interests of members are always put first by the cooperative, all activities are aimed at serving the production, business and economic life requirements of members.
Although it has only been in operation for 4 years, with a young and enthusiastic management team and members, Vinaco Production and Trading Cooperative (Thanh Hoa City) has had many effective and positive activities. The Cooperative has linked up with 6 OCOP product producers in the province to import more than 60 products and typical agricultural products of different regions to display and introduce at the Cooperative's stores. From sticky rice, dried bamboo shoots from the highlands to fish sauce from the sea and rice vermicelli from some districts in the delta... Director of the Cooperative Nguyen Thi Van said: "In addition to introducing products in the traditional form, the Cooperative has promoted trade development in the direction of digitalization, increasing promotion and searching for markets via the internet. The Cooperative has set up its own website and Facebook, Zalo, and TikTok pages to introduce products to consumers and other suppliers. Thanks to that, the Cooperative has received many orders from provinces and cities. Typically, cinnamon essential oil and rice vermicelli products are shipped to Hanoi and Nam Dinh markets every week... To achieve this success, throughout its operation, the cooperative has always put quality first and considered commercial activities as the basis for improving its operational efficiency.
The province currently has 124 trade and service cooperatives, most of which are small and medium-sized. In recent times, the Provincial Cooperative Union has coordinated with local authorities to propose specific solutions to improve the quality of cooperative operations in general and trade and service cooperatives in particular. Such as guiding cooperatives to innovate their methods, content and methods of operation in a positive direction, bringing benefits in terms of quality and economy. At the same time, coordinating to inspect and supervise the operations of cooperatives, avoiding errors and inappropriate issues, thereby finding timely and effective solutions.
