On the afternoon of February 28, the Provincial Steering Committee for Anti-Corruption and Negative Activities held its 7th meeting to discuss and give opinions on the report on the results of the Provincial Steering Committee's activities since the 6th meeting; and to disseminate some contents of the 2024 Work Program of the Central Steering Committee for Anti-Corruption and Negative Activities.

Since the 6th meeting of the Provincial Steering Committee, the situation in the province has remained stable, with no serious, complicated corruption or negative cases or incidents of public concern. The Standing Committee of the Provincial Steering Committee directed the timely issuance of the 2024 Work Program, closely following the direction of the Central Committee and the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, in accordance with the practical situation and political tasks of the province. All levels and sectors have deployed and organized serious and timely implementation of the direction of the Central Committee, the Provincial Party Committee, the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, and the Provincial Steering Committee in the work of preventing and combating corruption and negative cases. Cases under the supervision and direction of the Provincial Steering Committee continue to be actively directed and implemented, ensuring compliance with regulations.

After listening to the discussion opinions of the members of the Provincial Steering Committee, in his concluding remarks, Comrade Ngo Dong Hai, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial Steering Committee affirmed: The work of preventing and combating corruption and negativity in the province in the past time has been effective and has had a positive effect, contributing to maintaining stability. Agencies, units and members of the Provincial Steering Committee have effectively implemented their assigned tasks. The cases and incidents under the supervision and direction of the Provincial Steering Committee have all been focused on by relevant agencies and have had specific results. In addition, he analyzed and evaluated a number of emerging situations in the area and suggested solutions.

Regarding the key tasks in the coming time, he suggested continuing to raise the sense of responsibility, awareness, promoting the collective role of the Provincial Steering Committee, the individual role of each member of the Provincial Steering Committee in each area of responsibility to effectively perform the work of advising, coordinating, reporting and implementing tasks. Focus on directing the propaganda work on corruption prevention and control in depth, with focus, key points, with specific content and objects to create a spreading effect and good efficiency. Thereby, raising the awareness, consciousness and responsibility of cadres and party members in strictly implementing the Party's guidelines, policies and regulations, and the State's policies and laws. Directing Party committees and authorities at all levels to continue reviewing and perfecting legal documents within their authority to fully perfect the mechanisms, policies and regulations of the province; Focus on fully promulgating regulations, rules, procedures and coordination regulations between sectors and localities. Promote administrative reform, especially tightening administrative discipline and order, focusing on effectively overcoming the shortcomings and limitations that have been pointed out. Direct the strengthening of state management in all areas, especially areas prone to negativity such as: land, environment, public asset management, budget revenue and expenditure, capital construction investment, etc. Strengthen specialized inspection and public service inspection, ensuring quality and efficiency. Focus on directing the practice of thrift from the beginning of the year. Improve the quality of handling complaints and denunciations; thoroughly resolve outstanding issues. Party committees at all levels must proactively review, promptly detect and resolve potentially complicated issues and outstanding issues in localities, agencies and units. Promote the role of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations in social supervision and criticism. Synchronously deploy tasks on power control. Continue to improve the quality of investigation, prosecution, trial and execution.
