Ministry of Industry and Trade: Promoting the consumption of agricultural products in mountainous and ethnic minority areas is a key task. Vietnamese distribution channel supports the consumption of agricultural products in mountainous and ethnic minority areas.

Tuyen Quang agricultural products are popular domestically and for export.

Tuyen Quang is a province in the Northern midland and mountainous region, with its own potential and advantages for agricultural development. The province aims to achieve by 2025 the value of agricultural, forestry and fishery production reaching over 11,348 billion VND, an average increase of over 4%/year; the average value of harvested products per hectare of agricultural, forestry and aquaculture cultivation is 1.3 times higher than in 2020...

To achieve this goal, the province has recently issued many policies to increase the value of local agricultural products. Cooperatives have also made efforts to invest in technology to increase the value of agricultural products.

For example, with tea products, Tuyen Quang is famous for Shan Tuyet tea products, but many years ago, due to lack of investment, the output for this product was still difficult. Determining that, Hong Thai Tea Cooperative sought out long-standing tea establishments in Thai Nguyen and Hanoi to learn from their experiences. At the same time, experts from the Tea Association were invited to the Cooperative to provide technical training, instruct people on how to plant, care for tea trees, and harvest tea properly so that tea trees always achieve the highest yield.

After many years of searching for development directions, since innovating thinking and production methods, investing in modern machinery and truly understanding the secret of producing Shan Tuyet tea, the quality of tea of Son Tra Cooperative has improved. Currently, 1 kg of Shan Tuyet Son Tra tea costs up to millions of VND. The product has now entered many domestic supermarket channels. At the same time, last October, the Hong Thai Shan Tuyet tea area was granted a growing area code by the Plant Protection Department, Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, meeting the standards for exporting to the European market.

Along with Hong Thai Shan Tuyet tea, according to information from the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of Tuyen Quang province, Tuyen Quang currently has many valuable products that are trusted and chosen by many consumers. Recently, the Department has connected with RYB Joint Stock Company (Hanoi) to select 7 agricultural products for export to the UK market: Green-heart black bean tea bags of Hong Phat Organic Agricultural Cooperative (Chiem Hoa district); guava tea products, male papaya flowers soaked in honey of Binh Minh Organic Agricultural Cooperative (Yen Son district); dried banana products of Chieu Yen Clean Banana Cooperative (Yen Son district); lemon syrup products, kumquat syrup products of Minh Thao Agricultural and Medicinal Products Cooperative (Ham Yen district); dried bananas of Chieu Yen Clean Banana Cooperative; Soi Ha grapefruit of Xuan Van Agricultural Cooperative (Yen Son). This is the first time that OCOP-starred agricultural products of Tuyen Quang farmers have been exported to the European market. This will create more momentum to help the province's agricultural products make a breakthrough in the coming time.

Hoa Binh agricultural products increase value

Hoa Binh also has many potential products such as: oranges, grapefruit, bananas, tea, pickled vegetables, bamboo shoots... The People's Committee of Hoa Binh province has always paid attention to promoting the development of products with strengths. Therefore, the province has also directed functional sectors to develop diverse forms of product promotion and consumption, and pay attention to developing the domestic market. Accordingly, the agricultural sector has focused on building models of linking production - processing - consumption of key agricultural products on a large scale according to the product value chain associated with international standards. Priority is given to granting growing area codes to key crop growing areas with advantages and export potential such as grapefruit, longan, banana, dragon fruit and towards other crops such as: tea, purple sugarcane, white sugarcane, cucurbits...

In recent years, many Hoa Binh agricultural products such as Son Thuy longan (Kim Boi), Tan Lac red grapefruit, Dien grapefruit (Yen Thuy), purple sugarcane, etc. have met international standards, not only affirming their brand and quality in the domestic market but also in many demanding markets.

Typical agricultural products of Hoa Binh exported in recent times include: Fresh sugarcane and Dien grapefruit, red grapefruit to the United States, the United Kingdom, the EU, Bat Bao Minh Trung lotus porridge to Japan, Son Thuy longan to the EU, bamboo shoots to Taiwan (China), Cao Phong oranges to the UK market...

According to the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of Hoa Binh province, promoting the development of many types of high-quality agricultural products of the province not only contributes to solving the problem of effectively consuming Vietnamese goods but also creates diversity in the list of typical products of the province. From there, it helps products improve their competitiveness in the domestic market and increase economic income for people.
