In 2024, Duy Xuyen's economic growth rate will reach 9.8%

According to the report of Duy Xuyen District People's Committee, in 2024, the local socio-economic situation continued to change positively, with an economic growth rate of 9.8%.

Notably, local tourism activities continue to recover and develop. In 2024, the number of visitors to My Son is estimated to reach 446,000, up 17.7% compared to 2023; total revenue is estimated at 71.5 billion VND, up 18.9% compared to the previous year. Hoiana alone, the total number of visitors is estimated to reach more than 161,600 by October 2024, with estimated revenue of 3,864 billion VND.

In 2024, the production and business activities of enterprises in Duy Xuyen still faced many difficulties but have improved and recovered quite well. The total production value of the district's industry and handicraft sector this year is estimated at 4,598 billion VND, an increase of 7% compared to 2023.

Agricultural production has many advantages. Crops grow and develop well, and livestock diseases rarely occur. In 2024, the value of agricultural, forestry and fishery production in Duy Xuyen will reach 1,683 billion VND, with a growth rate of 2.7%, exceeding the set plan.

Duy Xuyen's total state budget revenue is estimated to be 1,943 billion VND in 2024. Of which, the revenue generated is more than 1,465 billion VND, reaching 118.1% of the estimate assigned by the District People's Council and 139.7% of the estimate assigned by the province.

At the same time, Duy Xuyen district is requested to do better in planning, planning management, attracting investors; speed up disbursement of public investment capital. In addition, it is requested that the locality pay attention to public reception, thoroughly resolve complaints and feedback from the people right at the grassroots level; promote administrative reform and digital transformation.
