The monitoring delegation of the Provincial Party Standing Committee worked with Thuan Nam District Party Committee

On August 17, the Supervisory Delegation of the Provincial Party Standing Committee led by Comrade Tran Minh Luc, member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, Deputy Head of the Supervisory Delegation chaired a working session with the Thuan Nam District Party Committee on the leadership, direction and organization of the implementation of Resolution No. 21/NQ-TU dated January 25, 2022 of the 14th Provincial Party Executive Committee on strengthening the Party's leadership in the management and effective use of land, mineral resources (TNKS), and environmental protection (BVMT) until 2025, with a vision to 2030.

Attending were members of the Provincial Party Committee: Tran Minh Nam, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department; Chamaléa Thi Thuy, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Department; leaders of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, relevant departments, branches and units.

After more than 1 year of implementing Resolution No. 21/NQ-TU, the management and use of land, natural resources and environmental protection in Thuan Nam district have had many positive changes. The construction, completion, management and implementation of planning, plans, mechanisms, policies and finance on land, natural resources and environmental protection have been focused on. The work of disseminating and popularizing policies and laws, inspection and examination has been strengthened. Currently, 100% of eligible land plots have been guided by local authorities for households and individuals to be granted land use right certificates in accordance with the correct procedures and legal regulations. The management of natural resources and environmental protection, especially unexploited minerals, has been promptly directed by the District Party Committee and People's Committee. Awareness of environmental protection has been raised, especially among people in coastal communes. Currently, the rate of collected and centrally treated household waste has reached 94%...

Comrade Tran Minh Luc, member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council delivered a concluding speech at the meeting.

Concluding the working session, the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council highly appreciated the results achieved in land management, use, natural resources and environmental protection of Thuan Nam district in the past time. He pointed out the limitations and shortcomings in leadership, management, operation, and pressing issues; requested the District Party Committee to continue reviewing the goals and tasks set out in Resolution No. 21/NQ-TU, on that basis, strengthen propaganda work, raise awareness for cadres and people. Pay attention to planning, planning management, public land management, natural resources and environmental protection. Build environmental protection models. Actively apply information technology, integrate land data for more effective management.
