Subject combinations used by the Pharmacy Department for admission

The Pharmaceutical industry is creating many opportunities in the process of finding jobs that match the professional capacity for students after graduation. Each subject in the Pharmaceutical industry is no different from reality, students will study and train each basic subject, specialized subject and have internships in hospitals, pharmacies, and drugstores.

The pharmaceutical industry is also divided into many different areas such as production, research, distribution, drug management, drug quality assurance, drug management and drug use instructions for people.

So to study Pharmacy, you first need to be good at Biology and Chemistry.

These are also two important subjects in the training program of Pharmacy with a number of related subjects such as: Physiology, Biochemistry, Chemotherapy & Drug Metabolism, Pathophysiology - Immunology.

Currently, universities mainly use the following subject combinations to enroll students in Pharmacy.

A00: Math, Physics, Chemistry
B00: Math, Chemistry, Biology
B08: Math, Biology, English
D07: Math, Chemistry, English
C08: Literature, Chemistry, Biology

Some schools training in Pharmacy

The University of Medicine and Pharmacy (Vietnam National University, Hanoi) enrolls students in Pharmacy according to 4 methods: Considering high school graduation exam scores, direct and priority admission, considering competency assessment exam scores organized by Vietnam National University, Hanoi, and special admission for candidates with high results in some exams.

In 2023, the benchmark score for Pharmacy is 24.25 points (A00). The expected tuition fee for students enrolling this year is 5.1 million VND/school year.

Hanoi University of Pharmacy only uses a single subject combination, A00, to enroll students in the Pharmacy major. With the method of considering high school graduation exam scores, this major takes the admission threshold score to be 25 points. Meanwhile, the method of considering high school transcripts takes up to 28 points (only considering transcripts of students studying at specialized schools).

This year, the school's Pharmacy major has a tuition fee of 24.5 million VND/school year.

Hue University of Medicine and Pharmacy enrolls students in Pharmacy in two ways with the following standard scores: Considering high school graduation exam scores, 24.7 points (A00; B00) and considering high school graduation exam scores combined with international English certificates, 22.7 points (A00; B00).

Ho Chi Minh City University of Medicine and Pharmacy enrolls students in Pharmacy in 4 ways: Considering high school graduation exam scores, direct admission, considering high school graduation exam scores combined with preliminary English certificate selection, other admission (University preparation).

In 2023, the benchmark for Pharmacy majors based on the school's high school graduation exam scores will be 25.5 points (A00; B00) and combined with the preliminary selection of international English certificates will be 24 points (A00; B00).

Can Tho University of Medicine and Pharmacy only considers admission by one method, which is considering high school graduation exam scores. With this method, the Pharmacy major takes the admission threshold score of 24.7 points, considering the B00 subject group.
