On the afternoon of April 29, statistics from the Port Management Board and Inland Waterways Port Authority of Quang Ngai Province showed that from April 27 to 29, nearly 7,000 tourists went to Ly Son Island. Despite the large number of visitors, passenger ships still met the demand, and accommodations in Ly Son were still guaranteed.

According to Mr. Ta Cong Chuc - Deputy Director of the Port Management Board and Inland Waterways Port Authority of Quang Ngai province, during this holiday, the number of visitors to Ly Son island increased 4 times compared to normal days.
Although the number of visitors increased dramatically compared to normal days, at Sa Ky port, the management board arranged and set up a plan to pick up and drop off tourists during the holiday early and proactively, not letting visitors wait long because there were no ships.
During this holiday, there are about 15-18 trips every day from Sa Ky port to Ly Son island. On average, a passenger ship departs every 30 minutes. This has helped tourists comfortably choose a time to travel that fits their schedule.

Mr. Chuc said based on the number of guests who registered for tickets in advance and the prediction for the remaining two holidays, the number of tourists to Ly Son Island will decrease but still remain high.
The only inconvenience for visitors to Ly Son Island is that the procedures for leaving the port are strictly controlled. Therefore, visitors have to wait in line to complete the procedures. This is understandable due to safety issues when traveling at sea.
Accommodation services on Ly Son Island are guaranteed.
According to statistics, Ly Son island has more than 130 motels, homestays and 7 hotels with more than 1,000 rooms, which can accommodate more than 3,000 tourists at the same time.
The number of tourists visiting Ly Son Island in recent days has been high. However, most of the tourists stay overnight and return to visit mainland destinations in Quang Ngai province the next morning. Therefore, Ly Son still ensures rooms for tourists.

A group of 12 tourists from Nha Trang City returned to Sa Ky port after a two-day, one-night trip to Ly Son Island on the afternoon of April 29. They said that everything was fine when traveling, eating, resting, etc. in Ly Son.
Coming to Ly Son, the group chose to stay at a homestay on Be Island and were very satisfied. Mr. Thien, a tourist, said: "The weather is hot, in return there is wind and swimming in the sea, visiting many beautiful scenic spots on both Big Island and Be Island. What we are most happy about is experiencing living with the locals."
Ms. Pham Thi Huong - Chairwoman of the People's Committee of Ly Son island district (Quang Ngai province) - said that the 5-day April 30 and May 1 holiday, up to this point, all hotels, motels, and homestays have been registered, with no more vacant rooms.
However, tourists can still comfortably visit Ly Son island without worrying about lack of rooms. Because most tourists return after a day, the number of rooms will be empty again, more than enough to meet the needs of new tourists.

The People’s Committee of Ly Son district has propagated and requested owners of motels, homestays, hotels, etc. to publicly post prices. In case of illegal profiteering, if discovered, the locality will strictly handle it.
"In addition, the District People's Committee also mobilizes people to participate in creating accommodation for tourists according to the "community tourism" method if the number of tourists increases further and becomes overloaded. Currently, Ly Son still provides services for visitors," said Ms. Huong.
