Expanding Terminal T2 of Da Nang Airport to 6 million passengers/year

As the unit managing and operating the T2 international terminal of Da Nang airport, Da Nang International Terminal Investment and Operation Joint Stock Company (AHT) said that the project to expand this terminal is invested by AHT, designed by CPG (Singapore) and supervised by Nippon Koei (Japan).

Accordingly, the construction area of ​​the T2 international terminal will be expanded from the current 17,000m2 to 21,000m2; the floor area will be expanded from 52,000m2 to 62,000m2; the number of check-in counters will increase from 54 to 90; the number of baggage conveyor islands will increase from 4 to 6; and the number of departure gates will increase from 10 to 14.

Once completed, the project will increase the capacity of Da Nang International Terminal T2 from the current 4 million passengers to 6 million passengers per year. The highlight of the expansion project is the balance between traditional check-in counters and automated systems, giving passengers more options and optimizing check-in time.

AHT said that this project aims to meet the increasing demand of passengers through Da Nang International Airport. AHT is currently reporting to the Da Nang People's Committee and relevant agencies to implement the project, expected to start construction in the third quarter of 2025 and complete in the fourth quarter of 2026.
