In 2007, while working as a construction worker in Trang Bom district (Dong Nai), Ha Huy Giap (born in 1975, residing in Truong An village, Son Ninh commune, Huong Son) coincidentally met and married Than Thi Ngoc Thuy (born in 1985, residing at the same address). In July 2009, after giving birth to their first daughter, Ha Ngoc Quynh Nhu, the young couple returned to their hometown of Huong Son to start a business.
But then, the hard life in her husband's hometown could not hold Ms. Thuy back, so in December 2009, she left home, leaving behind her 5-month-old child. Thirsty for her mother's milk, Quynh Nhu could not sleep many nights, just crying. Feeling sorry for her, Mr. Giap traveled to the South many times to find clues about his wife, but returned in vain.

The life of Giap and his son passed quietly. The father worked hard, the son understood the situation so he was very good and obedient to adults.
Unfortunately, in April 2016, while working on a construction project in Son Tay commune, Ha Huy Giap accidentally fell into a deep lake and died. Since then, the 7-year-old girl has had to live with her grandmother, Vo Thi Hoang (born in 1941, wife of a martyr) in a simple house with no valuable assets.
Her grandmother was always sick, so outside of school hours, Quynh Nhu diligently helped with housework and supported her. However, in April 2021, Quynh Nhu's grandmother passed away after a long battle with many illnesses, leaving her alone in a small house.

Feeling sorry for the child who had lost her father so early, her aunt took Quynh Nhu in to raise. Unfortunately, her family's life was very difficult, they had to work hard to earn a living, so taking care of the child was not easy.
"Seeing my family's difficult situation, some people wanted to negotiate to adopt my grandchild, but I refused. Well, whatever my child eats, he eats, we share the joys and sorrows together" - Ms. Ha Thi Thuy, Quynh Nhu's aunt (born in 1977) shared.
Despite her difficult circumstances, Quynh Nhu is always obedient and tries hard in her studies. In the 2022-2023 school year, Ha Ngoc Quynh Nhu (class 8C - Nguyen Khac Vien Secondary School) won second prize in history in the District-level Cultural Olympiad.

Talking to us, Quynh Nhu expressed her only wish that her education would not be interrupted and that she would be able to meet her biological mother again.
Teacher Ha Thi Minh Hai - Principal of Nguyen Khac Vien Secondary School said: "To create favorable conditions for Quynh Nhu in her studies, the school has exempted and reduced her contributions, and at the same time supported her with more books, pens and paper. Quynh Nhu is always obedient, loved by teachers and friends, and always strives to excel in her studies."
Chairwoman of Son Ninh Commune Women's Union Phan Thi Hang encouraged Ha Ngoc Quynh Nhu and her niece.
Mr. Nguyen Xuan Huy - Chairman of Son Ninh Commune People's Committee said that recently, Son Ninh Commune Trade Union has deducted from the salary contributions of officials and civil servants to support her every month with an amount of 600 thousand VND to cover living and studying expenses. This small amount is not enough to help her have better conditions. We are trying to connect with a number of agencies and organizations, hoping to find benefactors to support and help Quynh Nhu so that she can have a better life, especially not to interrupt her studies."
