On the morning of April 16, Kim Song Truong commune held a ceremony to award the Certificate of Merit to martyr Nguyen Doan Bay.
Representatives of Military Region 4, Provincial Military Command, Can Loc district, Kim Song Truong commune, representatives of the family, comrades and relatives of martyr Nguyen Doan Bay attended.

Martyr Nguyen Doan Bay was born in 1924, in a farming family in Phuong Son village, Truong Loc commune (now Kim Song Truong commune), Can Loc district. Following the sacred call of the Fatherland, in September 1950, he volunteered to enlist in the army, belonging to Regiment 141, Division 312.
In the process of carrying out his duties, regardless of his position, he always strived to complete the assigned tasks excellently. On December 14, 1952, while on a combat mission at the Northern front, he heroically sacrificed himself when he was not yet 28 years old, leaving behind his young wife and 3-month-old son.

After 73 years of sacrifice, due to the loss of documents and information due to the war, comrade Nguyen Doan Bay has been recognized as a martyr by the Party and the State. The Prime Minister issued Decision No. 437/QD-TTG dated February 26, 2025 on granting the "Fatherland's Gratitude" certificate to martyr Nguyen Doan Bay. This is an honor and pride for his family, clan, and hometown of Kim Song Truong, Can Loc district.
The memorial service and awarding of the Certificate of Merit to martyr Nguyen Doan Bay was held solemnly and respectfully by Kim Song Truong commune, demonstrating the responsibility and gratitude of the Party, State and People towards the heroic martyrs and their families who have devoted and sacrificed for the cause of fighting to build and protect the Fatherland.
