Following the success of Book Street, Lifelong Learning Week… “Hoan Kiem My Beloved” Book Festival was organized to raise awareness of reading culture, arouse love for reading, form reading habits, self-study awareness, lifelong learning of cadres, teachers, education staff, especially students, contributing to building happy, modern, integrated schools.

This activity shows the attention of all levels and education sectors to library work in schools as well as developing a reading culture for the young generation.

It is vivid evidence of the efforts and enthusiasm of teachers for the development of the library system in particular and the education career of Hoan Kiem district.

Comrade Nguyen Quoc Hoan, Permanent Vice Chairman of Hoan Kiem District People's Committee, said: "It can be said that the Book Festival has created a useful, joyful, and intellectual playground; a space for students to experience, expand their knowledge, exchange, learn from each other as well as express their love and passion for books, for the precious values ​​that they discover from the magical world of books".

When reading becomes a joy and a scientific habit, it will bring great effects to the learning process and learning results of students, and even more, it will have the effect of educating personality, nurturing the soul, and preparing students to carry with them throughout their lives, Mr. Hoan shared.

Through activities to honor books, honor readers, and create opportunities for readers to experience books, the love of reading in students will be multiplied, habits will be formed and maintained for a long time.

The effectiveness of developing a reading culture and library work in schools over the years has contributed to the education of Hoan Kiem District in particular and Hanoi Capital in general, continuing to develop gloriously, modernly and integratedly. This is demonstrated through the results of the education sector and in new areas such as STEM education, digital transformation, creative experiences, etc.
