(Dan Tri) - It is forecasted that from now until January 13, strong cold air will affect the North, causing severe cold in many places. In particular, in the high mountainous areas of the North, some places will have temperatures below 3 degrees Celsius.
The National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting said that on the afternoon of January 10, cold air affected the Northwestern provinces and some places in the Central Central region; in the Gulf of Tonkin, there were strong Northeast winds of level 7, gusting to level 9.
On land, in the evening and night of January 10, cold air continued to strengthen and affect other places in the Central Central region and some places in the South Central region. Northeast wind inland is strong at level 3, coastal areas at level 3-4, with gusts of level 6 in some places.
From the night of January 10 to 13, in the North and Thanh Hoa - Nghe An area, the weather will be very cold, especially in the mountainous and midland areas of the North, it will be very cold; the area from Ha Tinh to Quang Ngai will be very cold.
The lowest temperature in this cold air mass in the North and Thanh Hoa - Nghe An region is generally 9-12 degrees Celsius, in the mountainous areas of the North 6-9 degrees Celsius, in the high mountainous areas below 3 degrees Celsius; in the area from Ha Tinh to Quang Binh, it is generally 13-16 degrees Celsius; in the area from Quang Tri to Quang Ngai, it is 15-18 degrees Celsius.
Particularly in Hanoi, from the night of January 10 to 13, the weather will be very cold. The lowest temperature in this cold air mass is commonly 9-12 degrees Celsius.
At sea, the Gulf of Tonkin has strong northeast wind level 6, sometimes level 7 at night, gusting to level 8-9, rough sea, waves 2-4m high.
The sea area from Quang Tri to Binh Dinh has strong northeast wind level 6-7, gusting to level 8-9, rough sea, waves 3-5m high.

In the North and Central East Sea (including the waters of Hoang Sa archipelago), the waters west of the South East Sea (including the waters west of Truong Sa archipelago), and the waters from Phu Yen to Binh Thuan, there will be strong northeast winds at level 7, gusting to level 8-9, rough seas, and waves 4-6m high.
The sea area from Ba Ria - Vung Tau to Ca Mau has strong northeast wind level 6, sometimes level 7, gusting to level 8-9, rough sea, waves 3-5m high.
