Military Commercial Joint Stock Bank (MB - HoSE: MBB) has just updated the list of shareholders owning 1% or more of charter capital.
Accordingly, by August 13, 2024, MB will have 2 new shareholders owning more than 1% of capital, namely JPMorgan Securities and Nordea 1, SICAV. The above 2 shareholders own a total of 133 million shares, equivalent to 2.53% of the bank's capital.
JPMorgan Securities holds 79.4 million MBB shares, equivalent to 1.5% of charter capital. Related persons of this organization do not own shares in the bank.
JPMorgan Securities, headquartered in the UK, is the asset management arm of JPMorgan Chase. JPMorgan Chase is the world's largest bank by market capitalization, the largest in the United States and the fifth largest globally.
The list of shareholders owning 1% or more of capital was updated by MB as of August 13.
According to the website, JPMorgan Chase was founded in 1799, formerly known as the Manhattan Company, which was chartered by the New York State legislature to provide pure drinking water to the city.
In Vietnam, JPMorgan Chase operates in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, its franchise has expanded from treasury services to include corporate banking, foreign exchange and money markets.
In addition, Nordea 1, SICAV holds 54.2 million shares, equivalent to 1.03% of MB's capital. Nordea 1, SICAV is a non-fixed capital investment fund (SICAV) managed by Nordea Fund, a member of Nordea Group, one of the largest financial and banking groups in the Nordic region.
The two previously announced shareholders, Prudential Vietnam Life Insurance Company Limited and Pyn Elite Fund, still maintain their ownership ratios.
Of which, Prudential Vietnam has 65.7 million shares, accounting for 1.24% and Pyn Elite has 86.3 million shares, accounting for 1.63%.
Thus, the above 4 institutional shareholders currently own nearly 286 million MBB shares, equivalent to more than 5.4% of the bank's charter capital.
In addition, according to the management report for the first 6 months of 2024, MB also has 4 major shareholders, owning a total of 44.345% of charter capital, namely Saigon Newport Corporation with 376 million shares, equivalent to 7.1% of capital;
Vietnam Helicopter Corporation owns 447 million shares, equivalent to 8.43% of capital; Military Industry and Telecommunications Group (Viettel) has 1 billion shares, equivalent to 19% of capital, and State Capital Investment Corporation (SCIC) has 532 million shares, equivalent to 9.8% of capital.
