Ho Chi Minh City International Music Festival 2023 from September to December

At the upcoming 3rd Ho Chi Minh City International Music Festival, in addition to artists from France, Belgium, and Spain, the organizers will invite artists from countries in the Asian region, especially Korean idol artists who are loved by young Vietnamese people.

The 3rd Ho Chi Minh City International Music Festival - Ho Do 2023, organized by the Ho Chi Minh City Organizing Committee for Major Holidays, coordinated by the Ho Chi Minh City Light Music Center and Beyond Entertainment Company, will officially restart from next September.

At the press conference announcing Ho Do 2023 on the afternoon of August 24, the organizers said that this year's festival carries the message "From Ho Chi Minh City with love" (HCMC - City of Love), with many interesting innovations, creating a unique international cultural and artistic destination with the city's own brand. Unlike previous years - the program only took place in the last month of the year and included 4 large-scale performances, Ho Do 2023 was developed to become a super project with a series of attractive programs lasting from September to the end of December in the center of District 1.

Accordingly, throughout the project, Ho Do 2023 will have 4 Ho Do Inspired Talents shows and 3 HOZO Super Fest nights.

The Ho Do Inspiration 2023 premiere nights are held in the last week of each month, starting from September to November at Lam Son Park (District 1). The HOZO Super Fest event series, which brings together famous domestic and foreign artists, will take place on the nights of December 22, 23, and 24 on Nguyen Hue walking street and Le Loi street.

In parallel with the performance nights, the organizers plan to carry out accompanying sideline activities such as: HOZO University Tour; Music Video Theme song Triệu Trái Tim (tentative name) planned to be released in November; workshops to learn about international music trends, talent search programs... on multiple platforms, from online to offline, with the desire to approach and create many playgrounds, to create and develop a community of people who love to enjoy music and culture in Vietnam in general, in Ho Chi Minh City in particular.

This year, in addition to artists from France, Belgium, Spain... the organizers have increased the number of artists from countries in the Asian region such as Thailand, Indonesia, Japan... In particular, it is expected that there will be the participation of some Korean idol artists who are loved by young Vietnamese people. Information about the artists will be "revealed" in each upcoming stage of the festival.

General director - musician Huy Tuan expressed that, with a consistent message, all activities taking place within the framework of Ho Do 2023 can become positive energies, sending messages of love during the period of economic and social fluctuations taking place all over the world and ready to welcome the upcoming new period of prosperity. According to him, changing the name from "festival" to "festival" shows that the scale and scope of the program are increasingly enhanced and expanded.

By possessing unique musical colors and multicultural values, Ho Do 2023 will spread the message of love from millions of Vietnamese hearts to friends around the world; bring the world to Vietnam and bring Vietnam to the world through the transmission and dissemination of musical and cultural values” - musician Huy Tuan shared.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh Thuy, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture and Sports of Ho Chi Minh City, expressed that the city is expecting Ho Do to become an annual music festival with a strong Vietnamese cultural imprint, with a solid position on the world music festival "map", a familiar destination not only for domestic audiences but also attracting a large number of international audiences to travel to Ho Chi Minh City to experience.

After 2 times of organization, Ho Chi Minh City International Music Festival was honored to receive the following awards:

- Program of the year at the 15th Dedication Music Awards presented by Sports & Culture Newspaper in 2020;

- The most outstanding music and dance live show of 2022 awarded by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.

- The 2022 Ho Chi Minh City International Music Festival was honored in 2 categories: Outstanding Public Relations and Communications Campaign Using Technology and Outstanding Public Relations and Communications Campaign on Destination Promotion presented by the Vietnam Public Relations Network (VNPR).
