On the morning of March 31 (ie March 3 of the lunar calendar), the People's Committee of Thinh Loc commune (Thach Ha) coordinated with the Buddhist Sangha of Ha Tinh province to organize the Chan Tien pagoda festival in 2025 with the participation of Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Organizing Committee Vo Hong Hai, representatives of the Provincial Buddhist Sangha, leaders of Thach Ha district and a large number of monks, nuns, Buddhists and tourists.

Chan Tien Pagoda (Chan Tien Tu) is located on the top of Tien An Mountain, one of the 99 mountains of the Hong Linh range, in Yen Diem village, Thinh Loc commune, Thach Ha. Chan Tien Pagoda dates back to the Tran Dynasty and was ranked as a national historical and cultural relic and scenic spot by the Ministry of Culture in 1992.
During the revolutionary movement, Chan Tien Pagoda was the training base of the insurgents in the Can Vuong movement (from 1885 to 1896) and also the gathering place of the Confucian scholars protesting against taxes in Central Vietnam (in 1908).
The pagoda was also a place to hide documents, shelter cadres and hold meetings of the Yen Diem Party cell, now the Thinh Loc Commune Party Committee (April 25, 1930).

Chan Tien Pagoda Festival is held annually on the 3rd day of the 3rd lunar month with the main part being incense offering and worship.

The traditional festival of Chan Tien Pagoda is an occasion for people to express their respect, honor, and commemorate the merits of national heroes, predecessors, and saints who have contributed to building and establishing the country; at the same time, pray for national peace and prosperity, favorable weather, bountiful harvests, and family happiness.
