After 3 months of construction, the resettlement area of Lang Nu, Phuc Khanh commune, Bao Yen district, Lao Cai province was completed and handed over to the people.
After suffering and loss, from the ruins caused by natural disasters, Lang Nu village has been given a new coat of paint with many hopes for a better future.
After 3 months of construction, 40 houses in the resettlement area of Lang Nu village, auxiliary works and community services have been completed. Local people are cleaning up and moving their belongings to their new home.
Despite the cold of winter days, the people of Lang Nu Village smiled with excitement at the moment of inauguration of their new residence after many days of anticipation.
Mr. Nguyen Van Diet (31 years old) shared that everyone in the village is happy and excited again. People in the area are helping each other move furniture and clean their houses to prepare for the inauguration ceremony tomorrow, December 15.
Ms. Vu Thi Tu, Secretary of the Party Committee of Phuc Khanh commune, said that after 40 houses were completed, the commune called on cadres, civil servants and people from other villages to come to the Lang Nu resettlement area to clean, sanitize and renovate the landscape there.
Mr. Hoang Quoc Bao, Secretary of Bao Yen District Party Committee, said that the people of Lang Nu are very excited to be moving to their new homes. The people have met and agreed on a number of contents and regulations to build the resettlement area into a model residential area in preserving cultural identity, a happy village.
Mr. Bao added that the inauguration ceremony of the Lang Nu resettlement area will be held tomorrow (December 15) at the community cultural house yard.
Along with that, the district will also hold an incense offering ceremony at the memorial stele, in memory of the people of Lang Nu who died in the terrible flash flood last September.
