Spreading the movement "5 Good Students", "3 Good Students"

Nam Dinh Provincial Youth Union awarded students with the titles of "3 Good Students" and "5 Good Students" at the provincial level.

Accordingly, the Youth Union and Student Association of the schools have promoted communication activities, introduced the movements "5 Good Students", "3 Good Students"; built a propaganda column about the examples of "5 Good Students", "3 Good Students" on the Union's social networking sites; organized forum activities to share experiences, support students to determine their goals to strive for the title. In particular, through volunteer activities and movements such as: "Green Summer" volunteer campaign, "Support for exam season", "Voluntary blood donation", "Green Sunday" cleaning... have created an environment for students to be challenged, trained and mature.

At Nam Dinh University of Nursing, the "5 Good Students" movement has helped spread the emulation movement of studying, scientific research as well as activities launched by the Student Union and Youth Union of the school. Chairman of the Student Union Nguyen Van Dinh said: The Youth Union and Student Union of the school have implemented many programs: Establishing and developing the "5 Good Students" Club with more than 50 members; organizing annual "5 Good Students" seminars; organizing the recognition of the "5 Good Students" title at all levels; seminars to connect, promote and support "5 Good Students" after the recognition. In addition, the school regularly promotes the "5 Good Students" movement, builds and organizes volunteer programs and academic clubs to support students in their studies and volunteer and integration activities. In particular, mobilize and encourage students to participate in volunteer activities for the community such as the programs: "Warm clothes for the highlands"; Lighting candles in gratitude, visiting and giving gifts to families of war invalids, families with preferential policies, and people with workers on the occasion of War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27); "Journey for the sea and islands of the homeland and country"; "Supporting the exam season".

Teacher Dao Thi Ngoc Phuong, Secretary of the Youth Union of Tran Hung Dao High School (Nam Dinh City) shared: From the implementation, it shows that the "3 Good Students" movement is suitable for high school students and motivates union members and young people in the school to strive to improve in all aspects. Responding to the movement has created an environment for students to practice, experience, strive, contribute and study, thereby building the right attitude, motivation to study, and a spirit of progress. In particular, the school promotes exchange activities and sharing of learning experiences of former students studying at universities or students with high academic achievements at the school. The school's sports clubs were established: Soccer, badminton, shuttlecock..., creating an environment for living, collective activities, training, and improving physical fitness for students.

The movement of "3 Good Students", "3 Good Students" has been spreading, becoming the goal of striving and training of many students in the province, helping them affirm their own values. The work of propagating, voting, praising, promoting and connecting "5 Good Students" after the commendation has been carried out by the Provincial Youth Union and the Youth Union of schools with many good and creative ways. In particular, the activities of supporting, connecting and promoting after the commendation have developed in the implementation work, are increasingly focused, thereby many new models have been formed, promoting the effectiveness in creating practical values ​​for the movement after the step of praising the title. According to Ms. Vu Thi Thuy Nga, Head of the School Youth Committee (Provincial Youth Union), 100% of the Youth Union and Student Association of universities and colleges in the province organize activities to support and promote "5 Good Students" after the commendation. With diverse approaches, the number of students registering to practice for titles, registering to consider titles, and the number of students being considered for titles at all levels increases every year. In the 2021-2022 school year, the whole province had 21 students receiving the title of "3 Good Students" at the provincial level, 10 students receiving the title of "5 Good Students" at the provincial level. In the 2022-2023 school year, there were 1,067 students receiving the title of "5 Good Students" at the school level, 21 students receiving the title of provincial level, 4 students receiving the title of central level, 217 students receiving the title of "5 Good Students" at the school level, 9 students receiving the title of provincial level. In the 2023-2024 school year, 36 students were awarded the title of "3 Good Students" at the provincial level, 14 students were awarded the title at the central level, 13 students were awarded the title of "5 Good Students" at the provincial level, and 4 students were awarded the title at the central level. The title is an important basis for students to continue to be considered for the "January Star" awards at the central level. "3 Good Students" and "5 Good Students" are also a source of outstanding young people to be trained and admitted to the Party. These movements and awards are increasingly spreading, becoming the goals of a large number of students in the province.

Many typical units have well organized the movements of "5 Good Students", "3 Good Students" such as: Nam Dinh University of Nursing, Nam Dinh College of Education, University of Economics and Technology, Giao Thuy High School (Giao Thuy), Tong Van Tran High School (Y Yen), Tran Van Lan High School (Nam Dinh city). There have been many typical examples in studying and training such as: Nguyen Thi Thanh Thao, a student of Nam Dinh University of Nursing, who has won the title of "5 Good Students" at the Central level for 2 consecutive years, and the title of "January Star" at the Central level for 1 year; Nguyen Thi Hai Yen, Nam Dinh University of Nursing, "5 Good Students" at the Central level; Tran Ngoc Tu Anh, Nam Dinh University of Nursing, "5 Good Students" at the Central level; Nguyen Hoang Nam, Le Hong Phong High School for the Gifted, "3 Good Students" at the provincial level; Tran Quang Hanh, Hoang Van Thu High School (Vu Ban), "3 Good Students" at the provincial level; Nguyen Thi Phuong Linh, Tran Hung Dao High School (Nam Dinh City), "3 Good Students" at the provincial level. Nguyen Thi Phuong Linh shared: "I am very happy and pleased when my efforts are recognized. The title "5 Good Students" helps me have more motivation to strive to study and practice. This is also a stepping stone for me to continue to develop myself comprehensively and have a clear direction in studying and practicing". Nguyen Thi Thanh Thao, a student at Nam Dinh University of Nursing, said: "I am very honored to receive the title "5 Good Students" at the central level for 2 consecutive years. The title "5 Good Students" is a testament to my efforts to improve myself, and at the same time creates an environment for me to practice social skills, political courage and sense of responsibility to the community".

The movements of “5 Good Students” and “3 Good Students” are increasingly spreading and expanding in schools in the province; creating motivation to compete and strive to study and practice among students, building a generation of young people with comprehensive intellectual and physical development, actively contributing to the overall development of the homeland and the country.
