The event contributed to affirming the position, historical stature, timeliness and profound internationality of the 1975 Spring General Offensive and Uprising, culminating in the historic Ho Chi Minh Campaign, bringing the country into a new era.

Art program "Flowers and Trash" spreads the message of environmental protection

The unique art program “Flowers and Trash” will be coming to the capital for the first time, bringing a message of environmental protection. The music night is scheduled to take place on the evenings of April 12 and 13 at the Hanoi Opera House.

“Flowers and Trash” is a unique combination of music, dance and storytelling, aiming to raise awareness of the consequences of environmental pollution. The two nights of the show are expected to welcome more than 1,000 audiences, with the participation of 120 artists from Feelings Art House (Ho Chi Minh City) and students from Hanoi University of Culture.

With four chapters of different emotional colors, “Flowers and Trash” will take the audience on a profound artistic journey. The opening is “Love for the Homeland” which evokes the pure values ​​of nature. Next, “Scattering and Picking Up” depicts the complex relationship between humans and the environment. The chapter “Flowers and Trash” highlights the contrast between natural beauty and the alarming pollution situation. Finally, “Colorful Environment” opens up hopes for a bright future when humans join hands to protect the green planet.

Publishing the book "The Final Minutes at the White House: The Fall of the Republic of Vietnam"

The Truth National Political Publishing House, in collaboration with the Oriental Development Research Institute under the Vietnam Union of Science and Technology Associations, has just published the book "The Final Minutes at the White House: The Minutes of the Fall of the Republic of Vietnam" and the book "Letter to the South" by General Secretary Le Duan.

The book “Final Minutes at the White House: The Fall of the Republic of Vietnam” consists of two parts. Part I includes original top secret documents declassified by the US in 2015, with content revolving around the calculations, decisions and actions of the head of the US war machine in the final days of the Saigon government. Part II includes unforgettable articles and memoirs of a number of high-ranking US generals who were directly present and commanded the evacuation in the final hours of the Republic of Vietnam regime.

The book "Letters to the South" by General Secretary Le Duan collects a number of letters and telegrams from General Secretary Le Duan to leaders in the Southern battlefield during the resistance war against American imperialism to save the country from 1961 to 1975.

The publication of these two books on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the country’s reunification is an opportunity to look back at the past, draw valuable historical lessons and strengthen national pride. This is also an opportunity for the younger generation to access important documents, thereby better understanding the value of peace, independence and responsibility in the cause of building and defending the country today.
