In 2024, Ha Tinh Consumer Rights Protection Association will carry out well the activities in response to "Vietnam Consumer Rights Day"; continue to advise, support, and resolve complaints and denunciations of consumers and businesses.

On the morning of January 26, the Ha Tinh Consumer Rights Protection Association held a conference to summarize activities in 2023 and deploy tasks in 2024. Leaders of departments, branches and localities attended.

In 2023, the Ha Tinh Consumer Protection Association focused on disseminating and popularizing laws on consumer rights and obligations, and improving consumer knowledge. Since then, a number of consumers have learned to protect their legitimate rights; provided information on illegal business activities, and written complaints to the Association to coordinate with competent authorities to inspect and handle the case to protect consumer rights.

The work of consulting, supporting, and resolving consumer complaints and denunciations is increasing in quantity and quality. The Association has become a trusted address for consumers to report when their rights are violated. Last year, the Association received, consulted, supported, and resolved 139 cases of consumer complaints and denunciations.

Regarding research, survey and testing, the Association took 50 samples of processed food for quick testing of borax (results of 50/50 samples were negative). In addition, 36 samples of various types were sent to the Ha Tinh Department of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries Quality Management to quickly test groups of pesticides in the carbamate group and organophosphate group (results of 36/36 samples did not detect pesticide residues); 10 samples of fresh beef and pork were taken for quick testing of hormones and salbutamol (results of 10/10 samples were negative). Last year, there were 5 contents that consumers reported and requested the authorities to inspect and handle.

Regarding the work of policy and law making, the Association has contributed to the draft Law on Consumer Protection (amended), the Law on Intellectual Property (amended), the Law on Insurance Business (amended). Participated in the training program on consumer protection law and the process of handling requests, recommendations and feedback from consumers organized by the National Competition Commission, Ministry of Industry and Trade.

Mr. Vo Ta Nghia - Deputy Director of the Department of Industry and Trade: Highly appreciated the role and responsibility of the comrades in the Standing Committee and Executive Committee of the Association for Protection of Consumer Rights, contributing to the successful completion of the tasks in 2023, raising consumer awareness and protecting the legitimate rights and interests of consumers.

In 2024, Ha Tinh Consumer Rights Protection Association will focus on doing a good job of propaganda, developing plans and organizing activities in response to "Vietnam Consumer Rights Day March 15" under the direction of the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the plan of the Provincial People's Committee; coordinate with 2 districts to organize training to disseminate the Law on Consumer Rights Protection (amended), directives and resolutions of the Party, the State and the province, integrating propaganda for the campaign "Vietnamese people prioritize using Vietnamese goods"; continue to print 15,000 - 20,000 leaflets to distribute to consumers...

At the same time, the Association prepares a personnel plan for the 2025-2030 term; mobilizes a number of social organizations, unions, and reputable goods manufacturing enterprises to become associate members in order to actively participate in protecting the reputation and brand of its products and protecting consumer rights. Focus on doing a good job of market research, testing product quality, collecting consumer feedback; continue to advise, support, and resolve complaints and denunciations from consumers and enterprises...
