Lam Dong has a new Provincial Chairman

On the morning of August 23, Lam Dong Provincial People's Council held the 17th Session of the 10th tenure to carry out personnel work within its authority.

Delegates vote to elect Chairman of Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee and People's Council.

Accordingly, the Provincial People's Council will elect the positions of Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, and Head of the Provincial People's Council's Legal Committee. At the same time, the procedure for dismissing the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council and Head of the Provincial People's Council's Legal Committee will be carried out in accordance with the procedures and provisions of law.

At the meeting, Lam Dong Provincial People's Council introduced Mr. Tran Hong Thai, Deputy Secretary of Lam Dong Provincial Party Committee, to be elected by the Provincial People's Council to hold the position of Chairman of Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee. As a result, Mr. Tran Hong Thai was elected by the Provincial People's Council delegates to hold the position of Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee for the 2021-2026 term.

Previously, Lam Dong Provincial People's Council elected Ms. Pham Thi Phuc, member of the Standing Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Commission, to hold the position of Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Council.

Speaking at the meeting, Acting Secretary of Lam Dong Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Thai Hoc believed that with the expectations of the Central Party Secretariat, the Central Organizing Committee, and the Provincial Party Executive Committee, the newly appointed provincial leaders will promote their full potential, intelligence, qualifications, and capacity to continue to work with the Provincial Party Committee to be determined and make efforts to overcome difficulties soon, and bring Lam Dong to continue to develop strongly.

Lam Dong Provincial Party Committee Acting Secretary Nguyen Thai Hoc presented flowers to congratulate Provincial People's Council Chairwoman Pham Thi Phuc and Provincial People's Committee Chairman Tran Hong Thai.

At this session, the delegates of the Provincial People's Council also elected Mr. Da Cat Vinh, Chairman of the Provincial Farmers' Association, to the position of Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council and Mr. Nguyen Van Phuong, Chairman of the People's Committee of Bao Loc City, to be the Head of the Provincial People's Council's Legal Committee. At the same time, they dismissed Mr. Nguyen Khac Binh from the position of Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council and Mr. Duong Thi Nga from the position of Head of the Provincial People's Council's Legal Committee in accordance with the provisions of law.

It is known that after 8 months of vacancy in the positions of Chairman of the Provincial People's Council and Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee related to the Saigon Van Ninh case, Lam Dong province has now completed the key positions of the province.
