In addition, in the past five years, the Quang Tri Provincial Border Guard has directly and coordinated with functional forces to successfully combat 39 projects, 580 drug cases, arresting 1,310 subjects; seized evidence: 2,586,139 pills and 2,862 new drug pills of the brand QP; 215 kg of crystal meth, 37.1 kg of ketamine; 2.64 kg of heroin; 811.4 kg of dried marijuana; and many other evidences. Detected and arrested 107 cases/121 subjects illegally buying, selling, transporting, storing, and using firecrackers, seized evidence of 7,586.1 kg of various types of firecrackers. Successfully fought 1 project, 5 cases of organizing brokerage for others to illegally enter and exit the country, arresting 43 subjects, including 9 Chinese subjects. On the anti-smuggling front, the provincial Border Guard force discovered, arrested, and handled 757 cases/432 subjects, with a total value of goods of more than 14 billion VND. Administrative violations were punished in 445 cases/445 subjects, with a total amount of more than 3.3 billion VND; confiscated evidence and goods and handled them according to regulations...

Typical of the spirit of proactiveness, actively attacking crime to the end, intelligence, courage, close solidarity and coordination with other forces, contributing to maintaining political security and social order and safety are the following groups: Drug and Crime Prevention Department, Reconnaissance Department, Lao Bao International Border Post, Thuan Border Post, Special Reconnaissance Team. At the same time, in the past 5 years, the provincial Border Guard force has successfully carried out 65 rescue operations/61 ships/261 crew members; mobilized local fishermen and coordinated with functional forces to successfully rescue 18 operations/75 crew members; especially the successful search and rescue of the Vietship 1 ship, the case of 4 Nghe An crew members and 11 Thua Thien Hue fishermen in distress drifting at sea.
