Industrial and handicraft investment projects put into use in the area are expected to be the driving force to boost commercial electricity output for Ky Anh Power Company (Ha Tinh Power Company).

The VinES Battery Factory Project has been approved for investment with a total registered capital of over VND 3,784 billion. The factory is invested by Vingroup Corporation, located in Vung Ang Economic Zone (Ky Loi Commune, Ky Anh Town) with a total land use area of ​​over 12.6 hectares. After nearly 2 years of construction and trial operation, on August 28, 2023, the VinES Battery Factory officially welcomed the first battery packs for VinFast's VF6 car line.

Initially put into operation, VinES Battery Factory consumed about 600,000 kWh/month.

Mr. Tran Quoc Quyen - Deputy Director of Ky Anh Power Company informed: "In anticipation of the project, Ha Tinh Power Company has deployed the construction and put into operation the project of building 2 35 kV feeder lines to supply electricity to VinES Battery Factory. Initially put into operation, the factory has consumed about 600,000 kWh/month. With an installed capacity of 25 MVA, in the coming time, when the factory goes into stable production, increasing the capacity is a condition to increase the large commercial electricity output in the area.

At the same time, the VinES - Gotion Battery Joint Venture Factory, a member company of Vingroup in cooperation with Gotion Inc., has also been started in November 2022 and is being accelerated. When the factory is completed and put into operation, it will be a "driving force" for the growth of commercial electricity output in the area.

Phu Vinh Industrial Park (Ky Lien Ward, Ky Anh Town) is planned as a multi-industry industrial park with a total area of ​​over 200 hectares. Currently, this industrial park has completed the construction of technical infrastructure works and is attracting investment for domestic and foreign projects. The power supply system for the industrial park is ensured through a 35 kV line connecting to each plot of land in the industrial park, maintaining stability 24/24h.

It is known that up to now, the Industrial Park has attracted 7 projects, of which 5 projects are building infrastructure and 2 projects have come into operation in the mechanical field. In the first phase of operation, on average each month these 2 projects consume over 110,000 kWh of electricity. In the future, when the Industrial Park is "filled", it will be the driving force for the commercial electricity output of Ky Anh Power to increase rapidly.

Meanwhile, Vung Ang Economic Zone continues to be an attractive destination for investors. In addition to the above attractive projects, in recent times, Ky Anh Town has attracted many other important investment projects. Accordingly, Vung Ang 2 Thermal Power Plant is under construction; An Viet Phat Ha Tinh Forestry Products Production and Processing Factory for domestic consumption and export (phase 1) invested by An Viet Phat Energy Company Limited in Ky Thinh Ward (Ky Anh Town) has come into operation... contributing to the impressive increase in commercial electricity output of Ky Anh Power Company.

According to Mr. Dang Don Son - Director of Ky Anh Electricity: Northern Power Corporation and Ha Tinh Power Company have invested in a series of power grid projects in the area with a total cost of over 100 billion VND such as: the project to build the Ky Anh 2 110 kV transmission line and transformer station in Ky Dong commune (Ky Anh district) with a total investment of over 60 billion VND; the project to build 2 35 kV feeders to supply electricity to VinES Battery Factory; the project to build 5 35 kV and 22 kV feeders to supply electricity to the administrative center and communes of Ky Anh district; the project to build 16 new transformer stations to supply electricity to prevent overload for Ky Anh town and Ky Anh district...

In the first 9 months of 2023, Ky Anh Power's commercial electricity output reached over 176.5 million kWh.

Thanks to the focus on developing new customers in the consumer electricity sector and the operation of industrial and handicraft factories, the commercial electricity output of Ky Anh Electricity has grown quite well.

In the first 9 months of 2023, the unit's commercial electricity output is estimated to reach over 176.5 million kWh, an increase of 18.58% over the same period in 2022. According to this year's plan, the commercial electricity output delivered by Ha Tinh Power Company to Ky Anh Power Company is 219.1 million kWh (an increase of 11.16% over 2022). Currently, Ky Anh Power Company is making efforts to find solutions to soon complete the set plan. The unit also expects that industrial and handicraft investment projects in the area will continue to increase operating capacity to create momentum for strong growth in commercial electricity.
