Although it is an artificial lake, Ta Dung Lake has a water surface area of thousands of hectares. In the middle of the immense lake are dozens of large and small islands, so many people compare Ta Dung to "Ha Long Bay in the Central Highlands".
Ta Dung Lake is located on the border between Dak Nong and Lam Dong provinces with a water surface area of 3,600 hectares and over 40 large and small islands. Having the opportunity to take a boat trip on the lake, visitors cannot help but be impressed by the magnificence that nature has created.
Ta Dung Lake is located in Ta Dung National Park, Dak Glong District. The predecessor of this unit is Ta Dung Nature Reserve, established in 2003.
Ta Dung Lake was formed by the construction of hydroelectric plants on the Dong Nai River basin. After these plants stored water for operation, many hills and mountains in the border area of Dak Nong and Lam Dong were flooded, forming Ta Dung Lake.
Being a mountain lake, the water is always clear and blue. The flooded hills are a fresh green. From many angles, visitors can feel that Ta Dung has a very unique beauty, one can never get bored of looking at it.
In recent years, the Ta Dung Lake area has been planned by Dak Nong province for eco-tourism development. While the government has not implemented it, local people have developed various types of sightseeing and resort tourism in the Ta Dung Lake area.
Coming to Ta Dung Lake, visitors can sit and sip coffee, eat and drink at high points, and enjoy the panoramic view of “Ha Long Bay in the Central Highlands”. Visitors can stay at some places to watch the sunset, sunrise, and hunt clouds at Ta Dung Lake.
Currently, some units and individuals have invested in beautiful “views” to admire Ta Dung Lake. With its unique and strange beauty, visitors have many angles to take beautiful photos. Many young people take photos for hours without getting bored.
Not only from above, visitors can directly enjoy the beauty of Ta Dung Lake from below. On tourist boats, visitors can roam around the vast lake. In addition to watching, visitors can enjoy local specialties.
Ta Dung Lake is located in Dak Som Commune (Dak Glong), about 50km from Gia Nghia City - the center of Dak Nong Province. To get to Ta Dung, visitors will have to go through a rather long journey. You should prepare your mind, health and time to experience this rare beauty.
