Smart medical kiosks are kiosks that automatically meet the requirements for receiving medical examination and treatment using CCCD/VNeID, using biometrics with the following features: registering for medical examination and treatment through CCCD card authentication/face recognition; automatically linking social insurance information according to CCCD number; creating a bank account to pay for medical examination and treatment costs without using cash. People can register for medical examination and pay hospital fees quickly and easily; information on the CCCD with chip and the patient's face is stored throughout the registration and medical examination and treatment process.
At the same time, doctors can proactively receive information and track patients' medical history more quickly, easily, and conveniently, helping to reduce waiting time in line for examination.
Deputy Director of Hanoi Department of Health Vu Cao Cuong said that the leaders of Hanoi Department of Health have requested units to research and register to deploy the smart medical kiosk model to contribute to the digital transformation of the health sector and promote cashless payments in hospitals. To effectively deploy this model, units need to prepare adequate facilities and equipment for the system to operate smoothly; and make specific professional requirements in building the system according to the reality of each unit.
In particular, after implementation, it is necessary to continue to check, monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the model to have timely adjustment solutions.
