Developing Vietnam-Laos relations is a strategic task of vital significance to the revolutionary cause, national construction and defense of each country.
At the invitation of Comrade Thongsalith Mangnomek, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Chief of the Central Office of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party, Comrade Nguyen Duy Ngoc, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Chief of the Central Office of the Party, led a delegation from the Party Central Office to visit and work in Laos from December 10-11.

On the afternoon of December 10, Comrade Nguyen Duy Ngoc had a meeting with Comrade Thongsalith Mangnomek. The two sides informed each other about the situation of each Party and each country, the cooperative relationship between the two Parties and the two countries, the work of each Central Office of the two Parties; assessed the results of cooperation between the two agencies in the past time; exchanged experiences in research work, consulting for leaders and some key cooperation areas in 2025, as well as issues of mutual interest to both sides.
The two Central Office Chiefs of the two parties chaired the announcement and release of the Minutes of the "Activities to celebrate the Vietnam-Laos, Laos-Vietnam Solidarity and Friendship Year 2022 of the Central Office of the Communist Party of Vietnam and the Central Office of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party in Khammouane province".
On this occasion, authorized by the President, Comrade Nguyen Duy Ngoc, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Chief of the Party Central Committee Office and Comrade Pham Gia Tuc, Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Chief of the Party Central Committee Office awarded Orders and Medals to collectives and individuals of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party Central Committee Office with outstanding achievements in building cooperative relations between the two Party Central Committee Offices in the period of 2017-2022.

During the visit, Comrade Nguyen Duy Ngoc paid a courtesy call to Lao General Secretary and President Thongloun Sisoulith and Prime Minister Sonexay Siphandone.
Comrade Nguyen Duy Ngoc expressed his joy to return to visit and work in Laos for the first time in his capacity as Secretary of the Party Central Committee and Chief of the Party Central Committee Office and was honored to be received by General Secretary, President Thongloun Sisoulith and Prime Minister Sonexay Siphandone, who gave the delegation warm feelings; respectfully conveyed the greetings of General Secretary To Lam, President Luong Cuong, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and other leaders of the Party and State of Vietnam to Comrade Thongloun Sisoulith and Comrade Sonexay Siphandone.
The Party Central Committee Secretary and Chief of the Party Central Committee Office once again congratulated the great, comprehensive and historic achievements that the brotherly country of Laos has achieved after nearly 40 years of Doi Moi; fulfilling the responsibility of ASEAN Chair in 2024, contributing to maintaining solidarity, promoting cooperation within ASEAN, and enhancing the role and position of Laos in the international arena.
Comrade Nguyen Duy Ngoc expressed his firm belief that under the leadership of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party, the Lao people will continue to gain many new and greater achievements in the renovation process, successfully implement the Resolution of the 11th National Congress, and successfully organize Party Congresses at all levels towards the 12th National Congress of the Party.

Affirming that the Party, State and people of Vietnam always strongly support Laos's renovation process; attach importance to and give the highest priority to consolidating and enhancing the great friendship, special solidarity and comprehensive cooperation with the Party, State and people of Laos, comrade Nguyen Duy Ngoc emphasized that developing the Vietnam-Laos relationship is a strategic task, of vital significance to the revolutionary cause, national construction and defense of each country and will do its utmost together with Laos to preserve and foster the special Vietnam-Laos relationship to develop more deeply, practically and effectively in all fields; contributing to peace, stability, cooperation and development in the region and the world.
The Chief of the Party Central Committee Office reported to Comrade Thongloun Sisoulith and Comrade Sonexay Siphandone on the recent situation in Vietnam, the implementation of the Resolution of the 13th National Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam, the preparation for the new term Party Congress; the implementation of the Vietnam-Laos High-Level Agreement in the past time as well as the results of the talks with the Central Office of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party and some issues of mutual concern to both sides.
Comrade Nguyen Duy Ngoc also emphasized that the two Central Offices of the two parties will continue to closely coordinate in implementing the Resolution of each party's Congress; increase information exchange and share professional and technical experiences of the two Offices; and continue to effectively implement the Cooperation Agreement between the two Central Offices of the two parties.
General Secretary and President Thongloun Sisoulith and Prime Minister Sonexay Siphandone highly appreciated the significance of Comrade Nguyen Duy Ngoc's visit and work in Laos, which took place in the context that the two parties and two countries are in the "acceleration and finishing" phase, making efforts to focus on implementing the Congress Resolution of each Party, actively preparing for the new National Party Congress; deeply demonstrating the special relationship between Vietnam and Laos.

Congratulating Vietnam on the great and important achievements in recent times, General Secretary and President Thongloun Sisoulith and the Lao Prime Minister expressed their belief that under the leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam, the Vietnamese people will continue to achieve even greater new achievements in the renovation process, successfully implementing the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress.
The two leaders expressed their joy and appreciation for the increasingly deep and extensive Vietnam-Laos relationship, bringing practical benefits to the people of each country, including the important contributions of the two Central Party Offices; emphasized the significance and importance of the special solidarity relationship between Vietnam and Laos, and suggested that the two Offices continue to closely coordinate and cooperate effectively, promoting their role in preserving and nurturing the increasingly developing Vietnam-Laos relationship; respectfully conveyed their regards to General Secretary To Lam, President Luong Cuong, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and other leaders of the Party and State of Vietnam.
