On the morning of November 18, at An Lap commune (Dau Tieng district, Binh Duong), Deo Ca Group coordinated with the Ministry of Transport and the People's Committees of Binh Duong, Tay Ninh and Long An provinces to organize a ceremony to launch the construction package of the Ho Chi Minh road construction and installation project, Chon Thanh - Duc Hoa section.
Mr. Nguyen Van Thang, Minister of Transport and Mr. Nguyen Van Loi, Secretary of Binh Duong Provincial Party Committee attended the launching ceremony of the Ho Chi Minh Road project, Chon Thanh - Duc Hoa section.
Accordingly, the project has a total length of about 72.75 km, starting at Tru Van Tho commune (Bau Bang district, Binh Duong) and ending at the intersection with N2 road (now Ho Chi Minh road in Duc Hoa district, Long An).
Ceremony to start construction of Ho Chi Minh road
Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Duy Lam, Deputy Minister of Transport, said that the Ho Chi Minh road section from Chon Thanh to Duc Hoa is a section of the North-South expressway planning in the West of the country (Ho Chi Minh road with expressway standards).
The project plays an important role, creating momentum to promote socio-economic development, attract investment, and expand the space for urban - industrial - commercial - tourism - service development in the Southeast region.
When completed, the Chon Thanh - Duc Hoa route will connect traffic and shorten travel time from the Central Highlands provinces through the Southeast region to the Southwest provinces; gradually complete the inter-regional road traffic system, reducing traffic load on existing roads.
Motor vehicles gather to resume construction of the project
Mr. Nguyen Loc Ha, Vice Chairman of Binh Duong Provincial People's Committee, said that the Ho Chi Minh road section passing through Binh Duong is about 31.6 km long, has been cleared with a 40m wide roadbed and some items have been built on the route.
According to Mr. Ha, after completion of the route, it will help complete the road system in the northwest of Binh Duong, opening up new connections, especially connecting industrial parks in the province with raw material areas in the Central Highlands and the Southwest.
At the same time, the route also accelerates the formation and development of industrial parks in Binh Duong such as Bau Bang Industrial Park expansion, Cay Truong... and soon becomes a high-tech park, an innovation zone according to the socio-economic planning orientation of Binh Duong until 2040.
