At the workshop "Lighting the fire to move forward 2025" organized recently by the EdulightenUp Borderless Education Management Network in collaboration with the Institute for Research and Development of Education Management, the topic "The future of education in the AI era" attracted the attention of nearly 250 delegates, most of whom were teachers from schools across the country.
Here, Thuy Duong, an 11th grade student at the Foreign Language High School (Hanoi National University), shared that about 2 weeks ago, her teacher assigned her the task of "trapping" AI. As a result, she was given a score of 10 by the teacher for successfully asking the "trapping" question. The answer showed that AI was very prejudiced about learning dance being only for women...

The workshop mentioned the current hot issue of education, which is Circular 29 on managing extra teaching, encouraging students to study on their own instead of studying with teachers all day. To do that, teachers must assign tasks and guide students to study on their own, and AI will effectively support that if teachers and students know how to take advantage of it properly.
Many people wonder at what grade level is appropriate for students to approach technology, is starting from grade 1 or grade 2 too early? However, technology experts say it will be very difficult to have a precise answer in the context of children "opening their eyes" surrounded by technology devices. The problem is that we have to dialogue and find ways to "steer" it by building the ability to use AI as early as possible...
Responsibility and ethics in using AI
Associate Professor Chu Cam Tho, Vietnam Institute of Educational Sciences, raised the question: "Personalized teaching is a requirement in educational innovation. So what role does AI play in this task?", and at the same time worried that if we cannot master technology, will we be "lowering the ceiling" of learners by limiting teachers' understanding?
This is also the content that many delegates are interested in and discussed at the workshop. Mr. Kieu Manh Toan, representative of Microsoft Vietnam, emphasized that when utilizing AI, creating conditions for equitable education, it is necessary to design comprehensively, aiming to personalize learning based on the individual needs of students with appropriate content and targeted training to support improvement; accelerate learning for students by providing interactive experiences, effective data analysis and customized content.
Mr. Toan also highlighted the importance of encouraging teachers and students to use it responsibly and promote effective learning.

Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Que, General Director of Edmicro, believes that AI certainly cannot solve the emotional problems related to human intuition, AI cannot create new physical formulas.... However, bringing AI into education is only a matter of time, inevitable. "Dialogue with AI" is something that is very necessary as a way for us to master technology.
"If teachers use AI to create questions, students use AI to do their homework, and then teachers use AI to correct their homework, where will education go?", Mr. Que raised the issue and said that, to personalize education, teachers must grasp the "past" of each student, and students must be the center of the "flipped classroom" model. Student data must be updated regularly in a digital environment. On that basis, teachers play the role of instructors, testers, and evaluators.
Mr. Le Ngoc Tuan, FPT Education, said that it is very necessary to equip students and teachers with how to ask questions. Teachers also need to ask reverse questions to guide students instead of the traditional way of asking questions. Teachers and students both need to be equally popularized in the use of AI.
According to Mr. Tuan, ethics and responsibility in using AI are very important. There should be rules when using AI that apply to both teachers and students. This is to avoid "sneaking" AI use without permission.
