Exciting anniversary activities

Witnessing the technical opening ceremony of Song Thu Bridge and An Binh Bridge yesterday morning, March 23, Mr. Le Van Cuong - in Duy Hoa Commune (Duy Xuyen) was extremely excited, because his long-standing wish had come true.

Mr. Cuong confided that in the past, the deep river separated people, so if they wanted to go from Duy Xuyen to Dai Loc B area, they had to take a long detour or rely on a ferry, which was very inconvenient. Now, there are two projects connecting National Highway 14H to DT609C and the project connecting DT609C to QL14B, with the highlights being the Song Thu Bridge across the Thu Bon River and the An Binh Bridge across the Vu Gia River, which have shortened travel time for people and helped goods circulate more conveniently.

Along with the technical opening of Song Thu Bridge and An Binh Bridge, the Provincial People's Committee organized the inauguration and groundbreaking of 7 other important projects on this occasion.

Including the inauguration of Que Son High School (Dong Phu town, Que Son), Quang Nam Province Data Integration Center; groundbreaking of projects to expand and upgrade Chu Lai port (Tam Hiep commune, Nui Thanh), Uc Thinh Vietnam Glass Factory Phase 2, SGI Magnetic Factory (both in Bac Chu Lai Industrial Park, Nui Thanh), Preventing coastal erosion and sustainably protecting Hoi An coast (Cua Dai ward, Hoi An city); technical opening of Quang Da bridge (connecting Dien Ban town with Hoa Vang district, Da Nang city).

At the Provincial Cultural Center, an exhibition was held to display achievements in socio-economics, national defense and security; introduce typical products and OCOP products, becoming a highlight activity, attracting the attention of many delegates, people and tourists in recent days.

The exhibition takes place from March 21 to 25, 2025, with a total of 72 booths, including 28 booths of departments, branches, units, localities, armed forces, typical enterprises of the province and 44 booths displaying OCOP products.

Mr. Tang Ngoc Duyen - Head of the Economic - Infrastructure Department of Tay Giang district said that the local exhibition booth focused on introducing the unique features of the culture and people of Tay Giang district through documents, images, and videos. In particular, the district displayed and introduced 5 3-star OCOP products originating from the district's typical products, including lemongrass essential oil, dried bamboo shoots, hawthorn, steamed chicken ginseng, and morinda officinalis extract.

Attending the political activity at Huong Que Nam residential area, Que Phu commune (Que Son), alternate member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Luong Nguyen Minh Triet emphasized: "This political activity is an opportunity for Quang Nam to nurture and arouse the revolutionary tradition of its homeland, to gain more confidence, aspiration, and motivation to join hands and contribute to building the homeland to develop more and more strongly in the coming time".

Mr. Tran Van Man - Vice Chairman of Nam Tra My District People's Committee said that the highlight of the district's exhibition booth is the Tak Ngo ginseng garden model, which is realistically simulated through details such as old forests, suspension bridges and Ngoc Linh ginseng trees in the middle of the forest. Through that, the image is promoted and the brand of the national treasure - Ngoc Linh ginseng is enhanced in the market.

Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Phan Thai Binh said that this exhibition is an opportunity to review the glorious tradition of the army and people of Quang Nam, and an opportunity to introduce the great achievements in economy, culture - society, national defense, security... that the Party Committee, government and people of Quang Nam have achieved after 50 years.

At the same time, launch an emulation movement to achieve achievements to welcome the Party Congresses at all levels for the 2025 - 2030 term with the determination to build Quang Nam province to become increasingly rich, civilized and modern.

March Emotions

Last weekend, the Liaison Committee of cadres and soldiers of Tam Ky town during the anti-American war to save the country had a warm meeting, with tight hugs and many confessions and confidences.

More than 50 years ago, when they fought side by side, they were young men and women in their twenties. Today, the cadres and soldiers of Tam Ky town during the anti-American war are now old men and women. Although their eyesight is dim, their hearing is weak, their health is declining,... each name and each face of their comrades and comrades are still deeply engraved, associated with many old stories.

Memories of the day Tam Ky town was liberated through the story of People's Armed Forces Hero Tran Chi Thanh - former Secretary of Tam Ky Town Party Committee made everyone feel sad, remembering the comrades who had died for their homeland.

“To have the moment when the Liberation flag was raised on Quang Tin Provincial Road at 10:30 a.m. on March 24, 1975, the cadres, soldiers and people of the town were persistent, loyal, kept their faith and sacrificed their blood for 20 consecutive years.

In this moment of reunion, how can we forget the town leaders who led the revolutionary movement or the comrades and teammates who were sent into the enemy ranks to carry out their missions. And more preciously, are the mothers and sisters who shared their food and clothes, shielded the town’s cadres and soldiers from arrows and bullets operating in enemy territory…” - Mr. Thanh said.

Quang Nam became a historic March destination. Veterans had the opportunity to revisit the old battlefield. Young people showed their deep gratitude. Localities enthusiastically organized activities to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the liberation of their homeland.

In particular, all 1,240 villages/blocks in the province simultaneously organized extensive political activities, together reviewing the heroic traditions of the nation and witnessing the changes of the homeland after 50 years of construction and development.
