Inauguration of Than Nhan Trung Library

On the morning of December 14, at the Temple of Doctor Than Nhan Trung, the Bac Giang Provincial Association for the Promotion of Education in coordination with the People's Committee of Viet Yen town held a ribbon-cutting ceremony to inaugurate the Than Nhan Trung Library.

Attending the inauguration ceremony were comrades: Nguyen Hong Son - Vice President of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Association for Promoting Education; Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Thi Thanh Binh - Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Ethnology, Vietnam Academy of Social Sciences; Nguyen Van Linh - Chairman of the Provincial Association for Promoting Education, former Chairman of the Bac Giang Provincial People's Committee; representatives of leaders of a number of departments, branches and organizations of the province; leaders of Viet Yen town.

Delegates cut the ribbon to inaugurate Than Nhan Trung Library.

With the approval of the Provincial People's Committee, the coordination of the People's Committee of Viet Yen town, the People's Committee of Nenh ward and the Management Board of Than Nhan Trung library, the Provincial Association for the Promotion of Education has allocated 400 million VND to build Than Nhan Trung library including: equipping tables and chairs, library bookshelves, investing in books about Uncle Ho, law books, literature and art, agricultural science and technology, history, culture, books for children and books serving students' learning.

Speaking at the inauguration ceremony, Permanent Vice Chairman of Viet Yen Town People's Committee Than Van Thuan said that this is a very meaningful project that not only creates conditions for local people to come and find information, meeting the need for reading culture but also serves tourists who come to visit the relic to experience the open reading room space, easily access rich sources of documents with many practical meanings.

In order for the Library to operate effectively, he requested the Director of Than Nhan Trung Library to strengthen propaganda and introduce Than Nhan Trung Library and the relic of Doctor Than Nhan Trung Temple to a wide range of people inside and outside the town to contribute to promoting the reading movement and reading culture among the people, arousing the spirit of studiousness, building a culture of continuous learning among all classes of people. At the same time, continue to supplement more sources of documents and quality books. Arrange and store books scientifically, creating the most favorable conditions for readers to access books at the library.

He suggested that the Department of Education and Training of the town continue to direct schools in the area to organize for students to visit, study, educate about traditions, and read books at Than Nhan Trung Library to educate the younger generation about the tradition of studiousness, to appreciate and be more proud of the traditional values of their ancestors, thereby fostering love for their homeland and country.

On this occasion, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Association for Promoting Education, the Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology, the Bac Giang Provincial Library, the People's Committee of Viet Yen town, the Center for Culture, Information and Sports of Viet Yen town, and Sao Vang Company donated over 1,000 books to Than Nhan Trung Library, worth nearly 400 million VND.

At the ceremony, delegates witnessed the ribbon-cutting ceremony of the Than Nhan Trung Library and visited the Library of the Vietnam Academy of Sciences./.
