Inauguration of the project 'Schoolyard for Children' and 'Youth Shelter'

BDK.VN - As an activity to celebrate the success of the 13th Congress of Uncle Ho's Good Children of Ben Tre province and to carry out the movement to join hands to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses in Ben Tre province in 2025, on March 29, 2025, the Provincial Youth Union Standing Committee, the Secretariat of the Provincial Committee of the Vietnam Youth Union (VYU) in coordination with Vietnam YMCA Social Company Limited organized the inauguration ceremony of the "Schoolyard for Children" project at Tan Phu Tay Primary School and the inauguration of 2 "Youth Shelter" projects in Tan Thuan Ngoai hamlet, Tan Phu Tay commune (Mo Cay Bac district).

Inauguration of the project 'Schoolyard for Children' and 'Youth Shelter'

The project "Schoolyard for Children" at Tan Phu Tay Primary School and 2 projects "Youth Shelter" were started on March 1, 2025 by the Provincial Youth Union, the Vietnam Youth Union of the province mobilized the Vietnam YMCA Social Company Limited and YMCAs of Greater Houston & Arlington (USA) to contribute.

Specifically, the project "Schoolyard for Children" was upgraded and built on a low ground with an area of ^360m2 , prone to flooding and mud. After being concreted, it contributed to creating a more comfortable and safe living, learning and playing environment for more than 600 students studying here.

In addition, 2 “Youth Shelters” were built for the families of Ms. Duong Thi Thu Thuy and Mr. Nguyen Quoc Truyen, both residing in Tan Thuan Ngoai Hamlet, Tan Phu Tay Commune, who are households with difficult housing conditions in the commune. The house was built with an area of ^32m2 , supported with paint and tile, and a spacious corrugated iron roof, with a cost of 170 million VND.

On this occasion, the sponsor presented many gifts of school supplies to the students.
