Identifying women's work as one of the important tasks of the Executive Committee of the Trade Union at each level, from the beginning of the year, the Provincial Federation of Labor has directed Trade Unions at all levels to focus on grasping the ideological situation, life, and work of workers, civil servants, and laborers; coordinating inspection and supervision to promote the role, ensure the legal and legitimate obligations and rights of female workers according to the provisions of law. Trade Unions at all levels also promptly organized visits and support for families of female workers in difficult circumstances, in cases of sudden difficulties with a value of hundreds of millions of VND.

Affirming the role of women's activities

Female union members and employees of Yakjin Vietnam Co., Ltd. participate in production and actively respond to emulation movements launched by the Union.

In addition to propagating the Party's policies, guidelines, directives, resolutions, policies and laws of the State, resolutions of the superior Trade Union to union members and workers, the Trade Union has coordinated with the government to organize many practical activities for female union members such as: Seminars, propaganda, dissemination of legal policies, population communication - family planning, meetings to review traditions on anniversaries, cultural and sports exchanges, organizing competitions... attracting more than 80,000 female employees to participate.

Through programs that contribute to educating traditions, raising awareness of gender and family for female workers in particular and workers in the province in general. The Provincial Federation of Labor has also distributed over 1,000 copies of the Women's Work Handbook in 2024 to the Federations of Labor of districts, cities, towns, industry unions, industrial park unions, and affiliated grassroots unions. Periodic health care for female workers is increasingly receiving attention. In the first 6 months of the year, over 800 units and enterprises in the province organized periodic health check-ups for more than 67,600 female workers.

The patriotic emulation movement among female workers continues to be widely implemented, typically the movements: "Good at national work, good at housework", "Women actively study, work creatively, build happy families", "Build cultural families"...

Ms. Pham Thi Anh Ngoc - Chairwoman of the Trade Union of Yakjin Vietnam Co., Ltd. (Thuy Van Industrial Park, Viet Tri City), a typical unit awarded by the Provincial Federation of Labor as an excellent unit in the emulation movement "Good at public work, good at housework" said: To promote the role of female workers in emulation movements, from the beginning of the year, the unit organized for female union members to register for emulation and regularly monitored and helped them strive to achieve the registered titles. The Women's Union together with the Trade Union created conditions for female workers to participate in training programs to improve their skills, thereby promoting a sense of responsibility, proposing many technical innovation initiatives, contributing to improving the quality and efficiency of work.

The province currently has over 166,000 employees, of which the number of employees in units with trade unions directly managed by the Provincial Federation of Labor (FFL) is over 150,600, with female employees accounting for 69.12%. Currently, employment for employees and female employees is basically guaranteed, there is no situation of employees being unemployed or losing jobs for a long time, the average income is over 7 million VND/person/month.

The Provincial Federation of Labor also focuses on female cadres and strengthens the organization and activities of the Women's Union at the grassroots level, regularly urging and directing the establishment of Women's Unions at qualified grassroots unions. Up to now, the province has 1,327 qualified grassroots unions that have established Women's Unions, of which 320 Women's Unions have been established in non-state units.

In the first 6 months of the year, over 4,100 female workers participated in the activities, advising the professional staff to appoint and promote more than 2,600 women to leadership, management and key positions in agencies, units and enterprises, and training and introducing nearly 400 outstanding female workers for the Party to consider admission.

The consolidation and strengthening of the organization and activities of the Women's Union has contributed to improving the quality and effectiveness of women's work in all levels of the Trade Union. Not only performing well the role of representing and taking care of the practical interests of female workers, the Women's Union in particular and the Trade Union in general are also a bridge connecting, accompanying and supporting union members when facing difficulties; encouraging female union members and employees to compete to perform their tasks well, constantly work creatively, and increasingly affirm and promote their roles and positions in work and life.
