TPO – Lang Son province is urgently implementing the project to expand the specialized road for import and export of goods in the area of milestones 1119-1120 from 4 lanes to 8 lanes; carrying out procedures to adjust the project to 14 lanes to synchronize with the infrastructure on the Chinese side.
On the afternoon of December 18, in Lang Son, a meeting on promoting Vietnam-China development cooperation took place between the Ministry of Planning and Investment (Vietnam) and the General Administration for International Development Cooperation of China.
The talks covered cooperation in vocational training; aid projects for the people's livelihood in the northern provinces of Vietnam and promoting the pilot construction of smart border gates.
Regarding the content of cooperation in the field of vocational training (Lu Ban classroom), in recent times, a number of schools under the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (MARD) of Vietnam have had effective cooperation with schools and research institutes of China. Regarding the Lu Ban classroom project, the MARD of Vietnam is currently coordinating with relevant units to carry out procedures to receive aid.

The Vietnamese side proposed that the Chinese Ambassador to Vietnam conduct research to remove procedures related to differences in procedures between the two countries. The Vietnamese Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development also requested that the relevant agencies of the neighboring country provide aid for four aid projects in the field of people's livelihood in the northern provinces of Vietnam: Bac Kan, Tuyen Quang and Yen Bai with the project list related to the construction of the transport system, improving education and training, etc.
Regarding the pilot project to build smart border gates at the Huu Nghi (Vietnam) - Huu Nghi Quan (China) border gate pair, Lang Son province is urgently implementing the project to expand the specialized road for import and export of goods in the area of landmarks 1119-1120 from 4 lanes to 8 lanes; carrying out procedures to adjust the project to 14 lanes to synchronize with the infrastructure on the Chinese side.
Local professional agencies are also completing procedures to prepare a report proposing investment policies for the Inter-sectoral Office Building Project and the Project to expand the specialized road for import and export of goods in the area of landmark 1088/2-1089 from 4 lanes to 8 lanes.

Speaking on this issue, Vice Chairman of the People's Government of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region (China) Liao Pinhu shared: Up to now, China has completed the construction of inspection sites, cargo loading and unloading areas, hardware equipment and information systems, software, etc. According to the plan, the project will be completed in 2025. China is ready to support Lang Son in the fields of planning design, smart system development, and infrastructure.
In his closing remarks, Deputy Minister of Planning and Investment Tran Quoc Phuong, Head of the Vietnamese delegation, agreed with the important contents discussed by both sides. All contents were reached with high determination and in the fastest time.
Mr. La Chieu Huy - Director General of the General Administration of International Development Cooperation of China, Head of the Chinese delegation - affirmed that through the talks, the two sides had a clearer understanding of the policy and basically agreed on the direction of cooperation. In particular, they reached a common understanding of the cooperation mechanism in promoting the pilot construction of smart border gates.
Within the framework of the program, the Ministry of Planning and Investment (Vietnam) and the General Administration of International Development Cooperation of China signed a memorandum of understanding on cooperation on a number of contents that the two sides discussed and agreed upon.
