Da Nang opens training class on semiconductor microchips and artificial intelligence

Within the framework of the Memorandum of Understanding signed with partners, DSAC Center has coordinated to organize VMBD and IT training courses for 80 lecturers, students and engineers in the city. This is part of the strategy to develop high-quality human resources, aiming to make Da Nang a leading technology center in Vietnam and the region.

This initiative also aims to realize the goal of training 5,000 microchip engineers and 2,000 artificial intelligence engineers by 2030 according to the Project on developing the semiconductor microchip and artificial intelligence sector of Da Nang city.

With more than 20 years of high-tech development orientation, Da Nang is focusing strongly on the fields of semiconductors and artificial intelligence. The city has implemented a series of research and development support programs, built specific policies to support businesses, trained human resources and applied technology in urban management and public administration.

In 2024, Da Nang organized three training courses on semiconductor microchips for 57 excellent lecturers and students, in collaboration with strategic partners such as Synopsys, Arizona State University (USA) and the Institute of Information Technology. The city has also opened a microchip engineering training program and plans to enroll 320 students from August 2024. In addition, three training courses to convert graduates into microchip designers have been organized for 41 students and 59 lecturers.

Faced with opportunities from Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW of the Politburo on science - technology development and innovation, along with Resolution 136 of the National Assembly effective from January 1, 2025, Da Nang is promoting core technology industries, creating conditions for lecturers and students to access advanced knowledge, meeting the demand for high-quality human resources in the field of semiconductor microchips.

In addition, a total of 20 innovative startup investment projects in the fields of semiconductors and artificial intelligence have been reviewed, of which many projects have been granted decisions and some projects have been approved for support from February 27 to March 25, 2025. The projects are in many different fields, including semiconductors and artificial intelligence, with the potential to greatly contribute to the city's technological development.

The High-Tech Exhibition space displays advanced technology products such as microchip design systems, AI robots, drones, in-vehicle artificial intelligence systems, VR technology and training programs on semiconductor microchips and artificial intelligence, attracting the participation of many leading businesses and training institutions.

With the above activities, Da Nang continues to affirm its position as a center of technology and innovation, ready to take the lead in new development trends in the fields of semiconductors and artificial intelligence.
