The Ca Temple - Dinh Do Quan Hoang Muoi, also known as Mo Hac Linh Tu Temple, according to historical documents, was built by our ancestors over 700 years ago, during the Ly Dynasty.
The temple has a massive architectural scale, built in the shape of the letter "Nhat"; including: the back palace (also known as the forbidden palace), the upper palace, the middle palace and the lower palace. As the largest temple in the whole commune, it is called the Great Temple. The name Dinh Do Quan Hoang Muoi is named after the main person worshiped at the temple.
Vice Chairman of Hong Linh Town People's Committee Tran Xuan Duc opened the festival.
The temple was built on a prime land where three rivers (Lam River, La River and Minh River) intersect, in a location where the three rivers alluvium created a land shape like a Crane's Beak (a sacred animal that often rides on the back of a turtle to attend shrines). Therefore, it is often called by the people as the Crane's Beak Temple or the Crane's Beak Linh Tu, meaning the sacred land of the temple.
Performances at the opening ceremony
According to the polytheistic beliefs of the Vietnamese, the Ca Temple is worshiped by many gods; including angels, human gods and natural gods. Specifically: In addition to the main god worshiped, Hoang Muoi, the temple also worships Tam Lang (snake god) and Le Thi Ngoc Dung, the adopted daughter of King Le Thai To.
A large number of people and tourists from all over the world attended the opening ceremony.
Every year, according to local custom, to commemorate the merits of Quan Ong Hoang Muoi and the gods worshiped at the temple for their contribution in protecting people from natural disasters, the people in the area hold a festival to honor their achievements and pray for peace and good crops.
