These days, the atmosphere at the Dong Thanh cultural house, Dong Lac commune is more bustling and exciting with the bustling singing and singing. As one of the two units representing the district to participate in the Phu Tho Folk Song and Mass Arts Festival this year, Dong Lac commune has urgently developed a program, selected artists from residential areas, units, and schools in the area. At the same time, fully prepared props, costumes and built special performances praising the Hung Kings' merits in building and defending the country, praising the Party, the great Uncle Ho, the heroic land and people of Phu Tho; introducing the cultural heritages of the Ancestral Land.

With 6 folk performances imbued with the characteristics of the Muong ethnic group at the Hung Kings' Commemoration and the Cultural - Tourism Week of the Ancestral Land this year, 20 members of the Ngoc Lap Commune Folk Arts Club have devoted much effort to each dance and song to ensure the best performance quality, ready to serve the people and tourists from all over. Ms. Ha Thi Duoc - Head of the Ngoc Lap Commune Folk Arts Club said: "With the passion and love for the national cultural heritage, we hope to bring impressive performances imbued with the identity of our people, contributing to promoting the culture of the Muong people of Yen Lap district to a large number of tourists and people when making a pilgrimage to the Ancestral Land".

Along with songs and dances imbued with cultural identity, the contest of wrapping, cooking banh chung and pounding banh giay is also an indispensable part of the preparation of Yen Lap district. Famous for the traditional banh giay making profession of the Muong and Dao people, in 2024, the Ho Ly banh giay product of Thuong Long commune was recognized as a 3-star OCOP product. Therefore, this year, Thuong Long commune was chosen to represent the district to participate in the contest of wrapping, cooking banh chung and pounding banh giay in the province at the Hung Temple Historical Site.

To prepare well for the competition, Thuong Long commune has implemented a plan to organize the establishment of a competition team and arrange training time for each event, selecting participants who are experienced, skillful, healthy, responsible and coordinate smoothly in each stage with the determination to achieve the highest score at the competition, winning the honorable prize of making cakes to offer to the Hung Kings.

Since the beginning of March, Yen Lap district has implemented the plan, organized training sessions, and assigned coaches to select team members and athletes to participate in traditional sports; selected local products to display at the Phu Tho OCOP Trade Fair and display booths for traditional and typical products at the district's cultural camp. In addition, the district has set up a cultural camp designed to simulate the traditional stilt house architecture and daily life of the Muong people at the Hung Temple Historical Site.
