(BD) - During a working trip to Binh Dinh, on the morning of March 30, Comrade Nguyen Trong Nghia - Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission , and the Central working delegation visited the mass grave of the martyrs of the 3rd Sao Vang Division in Dap Da ward (An Nhon town).

In a solemn atmosphere, the delegation respectfully observed a moment of silence, offered flowers and incense at the mass grave of the martyrs of the 3rd Sao Vang Division, to commemorate, express their respect and infinite gratitude, and remember the great contributions of the heroic martyrs to the cause of national liberation and reunification.

On January 18, 1968, officers and soldiers of Battalion 6, Regiment 12, 3rd Sao Vang Division secretly gathered in So Nam village to prepare for the Dap Da attack campaign, opening the Mau Than campaign in Binh Dinh. The battle was fierce, our soldiers fought steadfastly, did not retreat, and were determined to hold their positions. In that battle, 154 soldiers heroically sacrificed their lives.
