Responding to Prudential's call, more than 1,500 customers joined hands to contribute social security packages to send to people in need in Yen Bai and Soc Trang provinces in the program "Supporting rice - Sending love 2024", so that people can enjoy a full Tet holiday that is approaching.
Bringing a warm and prosperous Tet to thousands of people in difficult circumstances
Every year, the program "Rice Support - Sending Love" is implemented by Prudential to share difficulties and help people in difficult circumstances in many localities. Being two poor districts affected by floods and home to many ethnic minorities, Mu Cang Chai district (Yen Bai) and My Xuyen district (Soc Trang) were chosen by Prudential and the Central Red Cross Society as one of the "destinations" of this year's journey.
Unlike usual, this year's program is even more meaningful with the participation of Prudential customers. Launched in August, PRURewards members have contributed their reward points to An Sinh Bank. From the total number of points contributed by members, the program will convert into the corresponding number of social security packages.
Accordingly, after 4 months of implementation, the program has had 1,525 customers contributing equivalent to nearly 200 social security packages, each worth 500,000 VND. Through the Red Cross, Prudential will give the customers' contributions to the poor and disadvantaged people in the two above-mentioned localities on the occasion of Lunar New Year 2024.
It can be said that the program is a bridge to help customers join hands to act, spread the message of love, humanity, and share difficulties with those in need of help.
Ms. Nguyen Hai Lan (48 years old, Hanoi), an active customer participating in the program, said: "With the PRUrewards points conversion method, my charitable wish has come true. The program has also spread more widely to other customers thanks to the implementation and reputation of Prudential. Through that, everyone has been able to join hands to bring Tet reunion to those in difficult circumstances."
Feeling about the meaning of participating in the program, Ms. Ngo Thi Nhung (49 years old, Hanoi) said: " For me, Prudential's meaningful charity activities are a bridge to help customers like me have the opportunity to share and help the less fortunate in society. Each redemption point is small, but if everyone joins hands to contribute, the results will be even greater to help people in need celebrate Tet more fully."
Spread the spirit of volunteerism and charity
Not only investing in sustainable community development projects, Prudential also wants to launch and encourage the participation of each individual in these meaningful activities. 2023 becomes a bright spot when each of Prudential's community responsibility activities has positive contributions from customers, consultants, and employees of the Company.
To date, more than 3,000 customers have participated in contributing to community activities initiated by Prudential through the exchange of PRURewards points. Previously, in 2022, the activity "Joining hands with Prudential - Giving standard helmets to students" called on more than 1,500 customers to participate in donating more than 1,200 gifts of standard helmets, backpacks, and Traffic Safety game books for students. At the launching ceremony of the "Safe Going to School" project at Ha Bau Primary School (Gia Lai) held in mid-November, the school received 800 helmets for students from this donation activity.
In addition, during the An Concert music night for customers in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, from the initiative of applying electronic tickets instead of paper invitations, customers joined Prudential in saving 500 million VND to contribute to the "Safe Schooling" project. This amount of money is used to renovate the traffic infrastructure around Son Thanh Primary School (Quang Ngai), creating better conditions for 600 Hre ethnic students studying here.
More than 700 employees, General Agency Office Directors and consultants of Prudential have put on the red volunteer shirts, contributing more than 2,500 hours in free teaching activities on financial management for primary school children at SOS Children's Village, charity classes...; repainting SOS Go Vap Kindergarten, coordinating traffic safety in the "30-Day Safe Walking Campaign with Gumball" and many other meaningful activities throughout 2023.

Mr. Tran Thanh Phong - Deputy General Director of Marketing of Prudential shared:
"Prudential would like to express our sincere thanks to our customers, General Agent Office Directors, consultants and employees for their contributions to sustainable community development projects over the past time. These contributions not only create the success of the projects, but also help spread the spirit of "When NEEDED, we are there for each other" that Prudential wants to convey to customers, partners and the community."
Ms. Phan Thuy My Khanh (48 years old, Binh Duong) said that she will continue to participate and respond to activities initiated by Prudential: "I hope that in the future, Prudential will have more charity activities so that I and other customers have the opportunity to help those in difficult circumstances improve their lives and believe in a bright future."
