Tourist arrivals expected to increase sharply
On January 26, Mr. Nguyen Minh Khoi - Deputy Director of Cam Ranh International Airport (Cam Ranh International Airport) said that the forecast of transportation volume during the Lunar New Year in 2025 tends to increase in both domestic and international flights.
Specifically, from January 25 to February 2 (ie the 26th of Tet to the 5th of Tet At Ty), there were about 1,159 flights taking off and landing at Cam Ranh International Airport, an increase of about 8% compared to the current flight week.
Of which, there are 377 domestic flights and 782 international flights. It is expected that there will be about 181,889 passengers with about 46,577 domestic passengers and 135,312 international passengers, an increase of about 12% compared to the current flight week.
Mr. Vo Quang Hoang - Chairman of Khanh Hoa Hotel Association under Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa Tourism Association said that currently, most of the 4-5 star hotels and resorts in Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa are almost fully booked during the Lunar New Year 2025.
“The peak of the Lunar New Year will take place in 4 days from the 2nd to the 5th of Tet. Hotels on Tran Phu Street, Nha Trang City and coastal resorts have almost reached maximum capacity. Some 3-star hotels in the central area of Nha Trang have also reached a capacity of over 85%,” said Mr. Vo Quang Hoang.
According to Mr. Hoang, this year, the number of visitors to Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa is mainly by personal vehicles with groups of visitors from southern provinces such as Ho Chi Minh City, Binh Duong, Dong Nai... Besides, there are also many tourists from northern provinces such as Hanoi, Hai Duong, Bac Ninh... and some provinces from Lam Dong, Dak Lak.
For the international tourist market, the main ones are still Korean, Chinese and CIS (Russian-speaking tourist market).
Lots of fun activities
To serve tourists and locals to enjoy the Spring, Khanh Hoa province will have many big events to serve locals and tourists at April 2 Square (Nha Trang City) such as organizing low-altitude fireworks for 15 minutes at New Year's Eve along with special cultural and artistic programs to celebrate the Party and Spring.
Along with that, the Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa Spring Flower Festival 2025 will be held in Yen Phi Park, Children's Park and part of the sidewalks and streets of Ngo Quyen, Pasteur, and Phan Chu Trinh.
This year, in addition to the display of ornamental plants according to each theme cluster, the Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa Spring Flower Festival also arranges areas for sightseeing and experiencing unique cultural activities such as making folk cakes, calligraphy, sketching, folk games, traditional arts; introducing some traditional handicrafts and promoting local products...
To help guests experience the traditional Tet holiday, resorts have planned to organize many cultural activities such as planting bamboo poles, wrapping banh chung and banh tet, making to he figurines, lion dances to welcome spring, giving calligraphy and folk games...
Ms. Nguyen Thi Le Thanh - Director of Khanh Hoa Department of Tourism said that in preparation for the peak tourist season of Lunar New Year 2025, the Department has sent a document to tourism businesses in the province about strengthening measures to ensure a joyful, healthy, safe and economical Lunar New Year.
At the same time, businesses are required to strictly implement regulations on price registration, price posting, and selling at the correct listed price; maintain service quality, ensure security and safety conditions for tourists, and focus on fire prevention and fighting...
