According to Secretary of the Central Youth Union, President of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Youth Union Nguyen Tuong Lam, every year March is always a special occasion for every young Vietnamese person. Youth Month 2025 with the theme "Vietnamese youth are proud and firmly believe in the Party" was launched with many meaningful and practical activities, creating opportunities for young people to demonstrate their spirit of volunteering for community life.
During Youth Month 2025, there are many key activities such as: volunteering to carry out youth projects and tasks at all levels; implementing the "Digital Education for All" movement to implement Resolution 57-NQ/TW dated December 22, 2024 of the Politburo on breakthroughs in science, technology, innovation and national digital transformation. Supporting ethnic minorities; participating in eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses; participating in building new rural areas and urban civilization; implementing volunteer activities to participate in environmental protection, responding to climate change; implementing volunteer activities to participate in ensuring traffic order and safety; implementing volunteer activities to participate in ensuring social security...
Some notable activities taking place in March include: the forum "Voice of Youth - Action of the Union"; the program to celebrate the 94th anniversary of the founding of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union and award the Ly Tu Trong Award in 2025; the award ceremony of Outstanding Young Vietnamese Faces in 2024; the dialogue program between the Prime Minister and the Youth...
In particular, a number of peak activities will take place, including: the peak day of "Volunteering to build civilized urban areas", simultaneously deployed at 100% of Youth Union bases in urban areas; the peak day of "Volunteering to join hands to build new rural areas and Green Sunday", simultaneously deployed to 100% of grassroots Youth Unions. Provincial, municipal and affiliated Youth Unions will register to carry out projects and tasks for Youth Month 2025.
To date, Youth Union and Association chapters nationwide have registered 36,904 youth volunteer teams to participate with a total resource of over 293 billion VND; 7,809 volunteer teams have participated in the "Digital Literacy for All" program, organizing the dissemination of digital skills to 1,444,212 people.
At the same time, responding to the emulation movement "Joining hands to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses nationwide in 2025", up to now, all levels of the Youth Union have registered to participate in eliminating 1,863 temporary and dilapidated houses with a total support budget of over 45 billion VND.
In addition, young people nationwide registered to participate in 16,978 volunteer activities to build new rural areas and civilized urban areas; 14,067 volunteer activities to protect the environment and respond to climate change; 7,819 volunteer activities to ensure traffic safety; and 18,152 volunteer activities to ensure social security.
In Hanoi, during Youth Month, the Standing Committee of the Hanoi Youth Union identified 10 key target groups and established 5 specialized teams including: "Green Hanoi"; "Cultured Hanoi"; "Civilized Hanoi"; "Young Hanoi"; "Sentimental Hanoi".
The teams will carry out tasks and activities such as planting trees, cleaning rivers, lakes, ponds, protecting the environment; preventing plastic waste; preserving national cultural identity; training, introducing, and promoting young talents to contribute to the development, construction and protection of the capital; practicing behavioral culture, building a civilized lifestyle, new rural areas and participating in building civilized urban areas; participating in digital transformation, cultural industry; voluntary blood donation; medical examination, giving free medicine...
With diverse and rich activities, Youth Month has truly become a large space, a rich practical school, a healthy social environment for young generations to fan the flames of passion, enthusiasm, dedication, not afraid of hardship, and initiative, in line with the spirit of "Where there is need, there is youth, where there is difficulty, there is youth". At the same time, Youth Month plays the role of a method and environment to gather and unite young people, thereby building and developing the Youth Union and Association, participating in building the Party and government at all levels.
