Tran Xuan Phong (Ninh An commune, Ninh Hoa) is a second-year student at Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry and Trade. His father passed away due to a serious illness, leaving his mother to take care of three children alone. While waiting to enter university, Phong worked part-time to help his mother. Unfortunately, on his way home from work, he had a traffic accident that resulted in a traumatic brain injury. With a strong will, he overcame the difficulties and continued to pursue his dream of going to university. Knowing his situation, the group supported Phong with expenses during his treatment and study. “The seniors in the group have helped me a lot, from monthly food expenses to tuition fees. Without that support, I would not have been able to pursue my dream of going to university. I always try to study well so that I can help my family and those in more difficult circumstances than me in the future,” Phong confided.
